What is Survey Club?

Survey Club is a members-only survey site directory which has been in the online paid surveys industry since 2005.

It claims to have 16 million members across 6 continents (but I highly suspect that active members are far far less than that number).

If you've ever heard of Survey Club Research, it is a sister company of Survey Club.

Basically, you can get paid for taking surveys, using coupons, doing product-testing, participating in research studies, etc...

In order to understand Survey Club, we need to first understand how does online paid surveys work (for those who are new to online surveys).

How Does Online Surveys Work?

In order for companies & organizations around the world to innovate and improve, they need to get feedback about their products, services, marketing campaign, consumer preferences, etc.

That's why there are so many different market research companies help bridging the connection between corporations and consumers.

Companies pay these market research companies to get the feedback/survey they need. On the other hand, market research companies pay individual panelists (people like you who wants to make money online by doing surveys) to get the statistics companies want.

Here's a video animation explaining the entire concept of how online paid surveys work:

How Does Survey Club Work?

However, Survey Club is NOT a market research company and they're NOT working with any of the corporations.

Instead, they're just a survey directory which basically consolidates many different online survey panels in one place.

So here's how it works:

  1. Create an account with Survey Club
  2. Complete a demographic profile where you need to tell them your personal information like household details, employment status, income level, health condition, etc. This is for them to match you with the suitable survey panels.
  3. They'll offer you the relevant survey panels based on your personal information
  4. You sign up and create accounts with all those different survey panels
  5. Confirm your Email address
  6. Start taking surveys that yo're qualify for

Afterwards, they'll show you various survey panels for you to join:

As you can see...

  • MySurvey
  • Opinion Plus
  • Ipsos
  • Clear Voice Surveys

These are just different survey panels and you need to create an account with each of them.

Of course you don't need to join all of them but they'll definitely recommend you to join as many as you can because they claim that the more you join, the more money you can potentially make.

Some important facts you need to know about Survey Club...

  • Only available in US, Canada, UK & Australia
  • You must be at least 13 years old
  • Survey Club has a payout threshold of $20
  • You can get paid via PayPal, Amazon Gift Card or check

Survey Club Ugly Truths Revealed!

These are the exact reasons why you really need to stay away from Survey Club...

1. Just a "Middleman"

Like I've said, Survey Club is NOT a market research company, nor is it a survey panel where you can take surveys directly on their website.

So my question is...

"Why should I join a site that will just redirect me to another site, and another site and another site?"

This is exactly the same as:

All these platforms are essentially the same. They're just survey intermediary or directory, whatever you call it.

The only good thing about Survey Club is that at least it is Free.

Some other horrible survey intermediary even requires you to pay a fee in order for you to access their "exclusive survey opportunities", LOL!

Online survey is not a scam by itself.

But one general rule of thumb for you to avoid paid survey scams is that you should NEVER EVER give your credit card info to any of the online survey platforms.

You should NEVER pay to do any surveys!

2. Extremely Low Income Potential

This problem doesn't just apply to Survey Club, but it applies to online paid surveys in general.

The most you can make per survey is just a few cents to a few dollars. Yet, you're required to spend like 15, 20 or even 30 minutes for some surveys.

Of course the longer the survey, the more money you can make. But the money you can earn from online surveys is never worth your time seriously!

OH YES, if you're trying out Survey Club, please be prepared to not earn any money at all.

Here's why...

Survey Club has a payout threshold of $20 which mean you can only withdraw your money once you have accumulated at least $20 in your account.

BUT!

This threshold only applies to Survey Club.

When you take real surveys on other panels, each panel has their own threshold amount.

So, if you're making a few dollars here and there on different platforms, you still can't withdraw any money if you don't hit the threshold.

Make sense?

So why waste your time working on something that's even worse than working on a normal part-time job?

Check this out:

It's very clear that the earning potential is really small.

3. SPAM!

Getting spammed is another common problem with online surveys.

These survey intermediary or survey panels are often linked to one another. They'll keep sending you new offers or asking you to sign up with another platform for you to make more money.

Although most of them said that your personal information is secured with them but it's really not the case.

They still have ways to keep advertising new things and spamming you Emails.

This may not happen to all platforms but it's just a very common issue with most sites.

So, if you ever consider taking online surveys, please don't use your personal Email address that you normally use.

Create another one specially for online surveys!

Is Survey Club a Scam?

No, Survey Club is not a scam but it's just a really low quality site.

If you're looking for a much better online survey site, you can check out Survey Junkie or Swagbucks.

But, listen to me on this...

The reason why you're looking into online surveys is probably because you need extra cash or a side income to pay your bills, am I right?

To be honest, it's much easier for you to pay your bills by working on a local part-time job

Or if you have any skills to add value to other people's lives, doing freelancing could be an option too.

For example, if you are good at writing, you can get paid by helping people to write articles.

If you're good at designing logos, you can offer that as a freelance service as well on platforms like Fiverr.

Other things you can do include graphics design, video editing, voice over, translation and many more.

The good thing about freelance job is that the money you can make is much better than paid surveys and you can still work from home.

But the downside is that it's still an active income source which you need to keep putting in the hours to make ends meet.
