My 20 Dollar Travel Business Review - A Rebranded Recruitment Scheme!

My 20 Dollar Travel Business Review – A Rebranded Recruitment Scheme!

Welcome to my My 20 Dollar Travel Business review!

Some Ponzi schemes can be stubborn. They’ll take the fall, rest for a few weeks, and then rebrand into something different.

The reason why they’re stubborn can be attributed to the stubbornness of their members as well. These members believe that the company has done nothing wrong and has only had nothing but hate reviews done on them.

Even when presented with evidence, members are still in denial.

But not all Ponzi schemes are officially branded as such. Some can get shut down before they even get the SEC, FTC, or any government agency to go after them.

If you’re someone looking for a way to make money, you need to know the signs of what makes a Ponzi scheme.

Today, we’re looking at a company that was supposedly called a Ponzi scheme but eventually just scrapped and rebranded.

This is My 20 Dollar Travel Business.

First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.

That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!

Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with My 20 Dollar Travel Business in any form.

So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.

Instead, I'm here to reveal what this recruitment scheme is all about...

Summary:  My 20 Dollar Travel Business is a MLM company that runs a recruitment-based scheme, with a pseudo-compliance in the form of a travel platform. However, it's a rebranded version of two other older recruitment schemes made by the same owner. There's no income to be made here because it's an obvious Ponzi scheme.

What is My 20 Dollar Travel Business?

My 20 Dollar Travel Business is a MLM or multi-level marketing company that presents an income opportunity through their travel platform and compensation plan, both completely different entities.

The company was founded by Steve Gresham, who you might have recognized through another program called Savings Highway and My 1 Dollar Business.

Savings Highway, or My Savings Highway, was founded back in sometime in 2009 and 2010, but when that went under, it closed down and rebranded into My 1 Dollar Business Travel.

But this rebrand didn’t happen overnight. It wasn’t until in 2012 when My 1 Dollar Business showed up in the industry, so we assumed that My Savings Highway operated for a few years before that.

Then in May 2019, My 20 Dollar Travel Business was born. My guess is that My 1 Dollar Business operated for a few years before things went south, and then rebranded.

All three companies shared the same income opportunities, which was focused heavily on recruitment.

And Steve Gresham has made quite a name for himself in recruitment-based opportunities. Is he part of a network of Ponzi schemes? We don’t think so. We just think that this is how he operates his supposed MLM companies

My 20 Dollar Travel Business Product Line

There are no retail products or services available with My 20 Dollar Travel Business. You are investing into the income opportunity, which is the reason why they’re called a MLM company.

Their travel side of the business has nothing to do with this MLM opportunity.

When you join the program for $20 a month, you get access to their travel portal that’s supposedly going to get you 75% to 90% cheaper rates on hotel, travel, and other related services. These rates are relatively lower than the likes of Travelocity and Priceline.

Unfortunately, there is no incentive for you here by selling their travel services to anyone, at least based on what we saw from their compensation plan.

Your actual income comes from recruiting people into the business.

Does The Product Work?

My 20 Dollar Travel Business operated just the same way as its predecessors. They went away with the recruitment-only gig and added some form of pseudo-compliance that will make the FTC and SEC think they’re offering something legitimate.

Now this is not to call them out on being a Ponzi scheme. Technically, they have this travel service up for grabs so that’s one red flag out of the way. However, it can’t be denied that the bulk of the income generated by the company comes from member signups.

We have reason to believe that their travel platform doesn’t generate any income for the company, so their profits are coming from membership signups. This is actually a red flag in the eyes of the FTC and SEC.

If you look closely at these guidelines, you’ll find that they could categorize any MLM company to be a pyramid or Ponzi scheme if their income opportunity is comprised of 80% recruitment incentives.

And just like My Savings Highway, this business will soon fall once there’s no more money coming in.

How To Make Money with My 20 Dollar Travel Business?

My 20 Dollar Travel Business offers only recruitment-based incentives. There’s no money coming in if you sell using their travel platform (unless you want to use the discount as a wholesale costing for booking).

How To Get Started with My 20 Dollar Travel Business?

They have three price points for their membership:

  • Member – $1 a month (no access to travel services)
  • Gold – $20 a month
  • Platinum – $100 a month

My 20 Dollar Travel Business Compensation Plan

The main draw of their program comes from their MLM-like compensation plan, which members get their commissions from.

Members get 50% of the membership fees paid out by their recruits, which works out through the following commissions:

Fast Start Commissions

  • Recruit a Member affiliate for a $0.50 commission
  • Recruit a Gold affiliate for a $10 commission
  • Recruit a Platinum affiliate for a $50 commission

Personal Residual Commissions

Residual commissions follow a 2x10 compensation structure where members are placed on your left and right leg, and the next level will spread out to two more legs each. This goes on for 10 levels.

  • Member Level Ranks earn 25 cents for every personally referred recruits
  • Gold members earn $5 every month on the 2nd month onwards for personally recruited members. Note that their recruits have to sign up for Gold Membership too.
  • Platinum members earn $25 every month on the 2nd month onwards.

My 20 Dollar Travel Business Ugly Truths Revealed!

#1 Focused On Recruitment

Their income opportunity is reliant on recruitment, which means that if you don’t recruit, you’re not earning any money.

Sure, the rewards are great if you’re signed up as a Platinum member but remember, they have to sign up for that rank as well.

If you fill up your positions in a tier, you’re looking at more than $10,000 in commissions a month. As promising as this might sound, this is how pyramid schemes start.

#2 Reboot Of Old Ponzi Scheme

My 20 Dollar Travel Business is a rebranded version of My 1 Dollar Travel business, which was also a rebrand of Savings Highway. All were owned by Steve Gresham.

These companies crashed when Steve left under the most unusual circumstances and drained the company bank accounts on his way out.

#3 Lack of Transparency

Just like most schemes, they’re not very transparent with certain things. If they’re as legitimate as they claim to be, why haven’t we seen any traces of income disclosure statements?

Why has no one come forward to claim that they’re the best at what they do?

It just means that no one really joined their program and no one was bothered to say something about it.

#4 A Ponzi Scheme With A Travel Engine

They don’t have anything to do with their travel engine. They don’t tell us who it’s backed by, and that’s suspicious.

You see, travel platforms are always hooked on to a supplier or a bigger travel platform. The travel MLM’s that we reviewed were built this way, and were gracious enough to let people know who they’re piggybacked to.

But My 20 Dollar Travel Business doesn’t do this. We’re inclined to think that their travel platform could merely be a distraction and may not even do bookings at all.

What I Like About My 20 Dollar Travel Business?

There’s nothing to like about My 20 Dollar Travel Business. There’s just a lot of red flags that were raised during this review.

Is My 20 Dollar Travel Business a Scam?

My 20 Dollar Travel Business is not a legitimate business, but we can’t call it a scam either. There’s something wrong about the way it operates, and that’s why we can’t recommend this to anyone.

  • It’s borderline close to being a pyramid scheme, with its recruitment-based income opportunity.
  • It’s a rebranded version of another old recruitment-based schemes that Gresham was known for, and both versions were considered to be Ponzi schemes.

There’s nothing good that could even come out of this program for you. Stay away from it.
