Instead, I'm here to give you an unbiased 3rd party review and expose to you some of the ugly truths you really need to know before considering this opportunity.
Is NuCerity a scam? Or is it a pyramid scheme?
Here's the truth...
NuCerity Review Summary
Product Name: NuCerity International
Founder: Founded by David Dillingham, Richard Jaenicke & Lonnie McKinney in 2008
Product Type: Skincare & Wellness MLM Company
Price: To get started $59/year + $120/month autoship
Best For: People who are good at networking and recruiting
Summary: The good news is that NuCerity is a legit MLM business opportunity. However, it's just a typical MLM which heavily relies on traditional warm market recruiting. Product-wise, it seems legit but it's definitely overpriced!
What is NuCerity?
NuCerity is a skincare & wellness Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company founded in 2008.
For your info, its parent organization is ARIIX Holdings, LLC, which is another MLM opportunity I've recently reviewed as well.
So, if you go through my ARIIX review, you'll see that NuCerity is actually a skincare brand of ARIIX.
Apart from that, ARIIX also has many other brands under its organization, such as nutritional supplements, weight management, personal care and even travel.
NuCerity claims that "They are all about inspiring and empowering people to look, feel and live better lives through their products and the business".
To be honest, this is just a very common and generic type of mission statement similar to many other health & wellness MLMs. So, it doesn't mean anything much until we investigate their product line and business opportunity further...
NuCerity Product Line
NuCerity has an extremely narrow product line with only around 10 products at the point of this writing.
This can be good, can be bad.
The good thing is that it gives people an impression that they're very focused and targeted in their products, which can imply that their products may have Premium quality.
This is in contrast with companies like Melaleuca and Essante Organics, which have hundreds of products to sell in various different areas.
However, the downside is that the earning potential may not be that huge because their target audience is narrower than other companies.
Anyway, here are some of the products they have:
- Skincerity (Their flagship product) - This is their skincare product line which claims to have this unique & patented "Breathable Barrier® technology". It uses the body’s own moisture to deeply re-hydrate and rejuvenate skin.
- Elite - This is the only nutritional supplement they have in their product line so far and it claims to support antioxidants, anti-aging & immune system
- Rejuvenating Barrier (Skin nutrition) - Perfect hydrating product to use under makeup, as it enables cosmetics to be applied evenly.
- Body Silk (SPA in a bottle) - Unique combination of oils & nutrients to hydrate your skin. Great protection against harsh environmental conditions throughout the day & relieves dry & sensitive skin.
- Eye Effects (Advanced serum) - Delivers anti-aging nourishment to the thin, fragile skin around the eyes. Specifically formulated to target three critical signs of aging - fine lines around the eyes, under-eye puffiness, and dark circles.
- Advanced Exfoliator (Nightly Breathable Masque) - Perfect for brightening the tone and texture of your face, but also great for smoothing and rejuvenating any dry, rough skin area such as elbows, knees, and heels.
Are the Products Worth it?
To be honest, I've not personally tried them before so I can't give you first-hand experience about their products.
However, this is what I found from my research and years of experience in MLM...
There's really nothing special about NuCerity's products!
The reason is simple...
Skincare is a very competitive and most importantly saturated market.
Every company has their own claims and some even have certain patents or clinical studies.
However, from a very objective perspective, nobody really knows which company is better, isn't it?
Most of the distributors in these companies are kind of "brain-washed".
Yes, they have their own good reasons to support whatever company or products they're promoting.
But ultimately, every company is the same to a certain extent if you really look from an objective point of view.
Why do you want to join NuCerity? Why not Jeunesse? Or Nerium?
If you really go and investigate those companies, you'll realize that you can't make a decision because they all look the same.
So, instead of struggling to find one to join, why not just leave them aside and try other business models like affiliate marketing?
If you really want to make money, there are a lot more opportunities out there.
Don't be easily influenced or convinced by someone who simply wants to recruit you so that he or she can make more money!

How to Make Money with NuCerity?
This is the overall concept of MLM companies like NuCerity...
Sign up, buy some products, tell your friends and family and keep buying products every single month to stay qualified.
If you like the products and you're really benefiting from them, this could be a good opportunity for you.
If not, then you’ll probably end up with a stockpile of face creams/masques which you don’t use and find hard to sell.
It’s always wise to promote something you are passionate about. This is how you can achieve most success with any business venture you get into.
Anyway, just like any other MLM companies, there are 2 main ways for you to make money with NuCerity:
- Sell their products and earn retail commissions
- Recruit people and build your downline teams to earn various bonuses and incentives
But before that, we need to first understand how to get started and qualify for these commissions...
How to Get Started with NuCerity?
Getting started with NuCerity can be broken down into 3 main steps...
To enroll with NuCerity, you have to first purchase a $59 Starter Kit which consists of:
- Personalized website with complete ordering & fulfillment systems (You can simply ask your customers to purchase products through your website and you can get paid)
- Access to a virtual office system for 1 year
In order to continue accessing your virtual office and your website, you have to pay $59 every year.
To be honest, this kind of startup cost isn't too bad when there are companies like ACN charging a $499 startup cost.
However, this is just the beginning...
The Starter Kit doesn't have any products.
In order for you to "activate" your account, you have to purchase any product package of at least 100 CV (Commissionable Volume, the sales unit assigned to each product).
And the 3 main product packages are:
- Combination Pack - $800
- Builder Pack - $800
- Business Pack - $450
Now, this is the part where things start to get more expensive and you'll start realizing you're paying more and more money to the company.
And once again, that's still not the end...
3. Qualify & Remain Active
Purchasing the Starter Kit plus the product pack still does't qualify you to earn commission.
You have to recruit at least 2 people into your downline team, forming up 2 "legs" underneath you:
In order for you to stay active and continue to qualify for commission every month, you have to generate at least 100PV every single month, which is equivalent to about $120/month.
Once again, this is a pretty huge financial burden for many people.
NuCerity Compensation Plan
NuCerity adopts a binary compensation plan, like the image I showed you earlier on. You need to have at least 2 "legs" to earn residual commissions from your teams.
There are 10 ways to get paid based on NuCerity's compensation plan:
- Retail Profits
- Preferred Customer Profits
- First Order Bonus
- Start Bonus
- Team Volume Commissions
- Team Commission Matching Bonus
- Mentor Bonus
- Bulk Order Bonus
- Additional Income Centers
- Diamond Rewards
I won't go into details for these because it's really technical and boring.
It's also pretty complicated just like any other MLM compensation plan.
So, if you want to better understand their compensation plan, please watch this video explanation:
NuCerity Ugly Truths Revealed!
1. Pyramid Scheme in Disguise
In most cases, making a decent income with network marketing is not about selling products to people, it’s about building a team who also builds a team and a team and a team...
NuCerity is certainly no different.
Just take a look at this video where NuCerity explains their "Fast Start 2BY2 Duplication System":
This short video is basically teaching you how to run a NuCerity MLM business.
As you can see from the video, their main focus is definitely recruiting.
Basically, they encourage you to recruit 2 people, help them get started and then help them recruit their own 2 people and the cycle just goes on and on...
Although NuCerity doesn't pay you based on the number of people you recruit (because that's an outright pyramid scheme!), they provide various bonuses which serve as incentives for you to recruit more people and build your teams.
Let's face it...
You really can't get rich by selling retail products in any MLM business. NONE!
Because majority of the bonuses and commissions are paid based on the team you built.
However, just like many other MLM companies, NuCerity has its own solid product line so it's definitely NOT a pyramid scheme.
In fact, they are just using their skincare products as a way to avoid being recognized as a pyramid scheme.
Once again, I'm NOT saying NuCerity is a scam or a pyramid scheme. NuCerity is a legit MLM business BUT recruiting is their main focus.
If you don't like to recruit your friends and family or you suck at it, it'll be a really tough journey should you decide to join NuCerity to make money.
2. Warm Market Recruiting
Another thing is that NuCerity is just a typical MLM company relying on the traditional way of recruiting.
I'm not saying recruiting is a bad thing.
What I'm saying is that the traditional way of recruiting is getting outdated and ineffective.
If you join NuCerity, they'll definitely ask you to come up with a list of people to contact, who are mostly your friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors, etc...
You need to contact them and try to sell them either the products, the business opportunity or both.
Some possible outcomes include:
- Sabotaging your own friendships & relationships if you don't have the right skills to recruit
- You'll eventually run out of prospects to talk to because you don't have a sustainable way to constantly generate new leads
3. Expensive Startup Costs
Although the upfront cost of joining NuCerity is not very expensive, the total cost of running this business is pretty expensive.
I've explained all the costs involved earlier on but let me just list down for you real quick:
- $59/year startup & recurring fees
- Product packages from $450 to $800
- Monthly autoship around $120/month
If you add them up, you're required to invest around $2K for your first year!
That's a lot of money for most people.
What I Like About NuCerity...
1. Patented & Clinically-Tested Products
According to their website, NuCerity's products like Skincerity has been tested and approved by dermatologists. It has also been clinically tested at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
On top of that, they also use a patented Breathable Barrier® technology in their products.
The good thing is that these stuff can sound pretty promising.
But after reviewing so many companies, let me tell you...
A lot of MLM companies also have their own patents and studies to show.
Sometimes, you really don't know if their research are real or not because there's always a chance for their research to be biased.
I'm not accusing anything or anyone. I'm just telling you the fact and the possibility.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
This is pretty self-explanatory.
You can get a refund within 30 days if you don't like the product.
Is NuCerity a Scam?
No, NuCerity is not a scam, nor is it a pyramid scheme!
They're a legitimate MLM company with promising products to offer.
I believe if you have the right skills and you work hard enough, it's possible for you to make a living or get rich from their compensation plan.
However, the sad truth is that most people (over 95%) failed in MLM, no matter which company they join.
The secret to succeed with MLM is to be good at recruiting and build a really huge and strong downline team.
This is the same for almost all MLM companies including NuCerity.
But let me tell you it's really hard my friend.
Think twice before you consider joining any MLM company for money!
How I Make a Living Online...
I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.
The reason is simple...
- You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
- You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
- It's Free to get started
In fact, with affiliate marketing...
I've personally created a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream and become financially independent at just 21 years old without any College degree or working experience!
Through my own hard work, I went from a broke restaurant waiter to living my dream laptop lifestyle in less than a year's time...
