Does The Product Work?

Thankfully, I haven’t seen any negative reviews about their products. Bloggers such as Makeup Alley and Influenster have rated their products somewhere within 4 or 5 stars.

Most noticeable reviews about their products is about how it gives the skin more glow and how the colors look amazing when paired together.

Other people have also mentioned about the prices as well, saying that the products are cheaper and better looking than the expensive commercial products.

Maskcara Beauty only offers two ways to make money:

• Retail commissions
• Commissions and bonuses from recruiting

We’ll dive more into their compensation plan in the next 2 sections.

How To Get Started With Maskcara Beauty?

To become a distributor, or artist as what Maskcara Beauty calls you, you’ll have to sign up through one of their artists. This means that you’ll have to sign up as someone else’s downline. This basically helps their distributors build up their own team without having to do a lot of the legwork.

The next step would then be the application process. You can either choose to do an on-site application or you can enroll through their signed up artist as their downline.

Then you can choose between any of the two starter kits, priced at $199 and $399. Once you’ve selected your kit, you will not be able to change into the other. So if you bought the $199 kit, you can’t upgrade into the $399.

Then there’s the issue of the monthly back office fee of $9.95, which gives you access to the tools necessary to build your business. These tools also include your training resources so you’ll ready to hit the ground running.

Maskcara Beauty Compensation Plan

Before you get started, there’s a training period which you have to go through. This training period requires you to earn $800 in total commission sales before you graduate. There’s no set deadline as to when the $800 sales commission needs to be acquired.

Earning from Retails

The commission rate for each product is 20%, which is a little bit lower compared to other MLM’s. At an average of $14 per product, you’re getting about $7 per sale, so that should take you more than a hundred sales to get to that.

The commission percentage doesn’t increase as you move up in rank, so that’s a huge disappointment.

Once you’re done with the training period, you’ll be able to receive up to 40% commission on sales.

Your commission rates after graduation will vary depending on the amount of CV or commission volume you make on a weekly or monthly basis.

Here’s the list of rates:

• 1-319 CV: 20% (on SV) weekly
• 320-639 CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
• 640-1599 CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
• 1600-3199 CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
• 3200+ CV: +5% (on SV) monthly

Earning From Recruitment

You can also earn income via recruiting other artists under your team. This only starts once you’ve passed your training period, so there’s some incentive to getting through it quicker.

You won’t be able to recruit while you’re on training period, so that kind of sucks. You’ll have to rely on selling products to get to $800.

On the bright side, Maskcara Beauty does make sure that there’s no keen focus on recruitment as part of the methods of make money.

So the real question begins: how much does one make by recruiting people? Unlike retail sales, your recruitment commissions are based entirely on your rank. The more you recruit, the higher your rank.

This is the list of ranks from lowest to highest and the amount of percentage you earn per team sale:

• Elite HAC-ER: 3% CV
• Top HAC-ER: 6% CV
• Artist Ambassador: 10% CV
• Elite Ambassador: 13% CV
• Top Ambassador: 19% CV
• Influencer: 21% CV
• Elite Influencer: 24% CV
• Top Influencer: 27% CV
• Executive Director: 31% CV

We’re not going to explain how their compensation plan works, but we can point you towards this video:

#1 Expensive Startup Costs

You’ll have to  shell out at least $210 to get started with the company, and then there’s the issue of the monthly cost of $9.95.

You’ll need to sell through all of the kits and then some to make a profit, but then you’ll have to invest more once you start to get into the flow of selling these products.

If you’re great at selling products, then by all means, jump into the opportunity. Otherwise, this program may not be for you.

#2 No Income Disclosure

Not having an income disclosure statement can mean one of two things: either no one’s making any significant money at the lower levels, or they just don’t want to reveal it.

My gut says to go for the first one. The income disclosure statement usually tells me how much people are earning per rank, and most MLM companies would use these statements as a marketing ploy (no matter how low the lowest tier earns).

But as of this writing, I can’t find any income disclosure statement and there’s no way to tell if the artists are making enough money through their programs.

#3 Strict Payout Option

As of this writing, Maskcara only pays out through Paylution and nothing else. This is inconvenient if you want to go for PayPal or direct deposits. You’ll have to sign up for a Maskcara debit card if you want to cash out on your commissions.

#4 Training Period?

Quite frankly I am a bit disappointed about the training period where people have to sell through $800 before they can fully enjoy the benefits of their income opportunity.

Most, if not all, MLM’s don’t even have a training period or any variation because they want their members to start going through the stuff and spending all of the money on their products.

#1 Good Quality Products

I kind of appreciate how Maskcara Beauty provides good quality products for women. And this isn’t something that’s taken lightly as well.

With all of the commercial brands in the market, it pays off knowing that you’re marketing a high quality product so selling might not be that difficult.

Maskcara Beauty is a legitimate MLM company that markets cosmetic products, and the products are of high quality so make no mistake about that.

However, I don’t really want to recommend this as a source of full-time income because there’s no evidence that anyone’s making any money (at the lowest level). There’s no income disclosure statement, so there’s no way of telling who’s making money and who’s not.

That’s my only biggest concern about their opportunity. But if you do want to give it a try, then feel free to do so.
