Is iBuumerang a Scam? A Travel Agency MLM To Avoid!

Bad puns aside, iBuumerang is a MLM or multi-level marketing company that markets a discount travel service for the members. They are based in Houston, TX.

Does The Product Work?

Their system is powered by the iGo Engine which is from XStream Travel. No matter what discount you go to, iGo Engine will always be the provider.

You’ll always end up paying less than usual. As of this writing, I couldn’t find any review about their discounted bookings because it’s always through a third-party system.

Every review will always be directed towards iGo and XStream, and never something about iBuumerang.

iBuumerang is your typical MLM opportunity and doesn’t provide anything new to the compensation structure of a MLM business.

You’ll have the following opportunities to earn money from iBuumerang:

• Retail commissions
• Recruitment commissions
• Residual commissions

How To Get Started with iBuumerang?

MLM companies are known for their stupidly expensive prices for starting up, and some of them will even ask you to fork over a lot of money.

From iBuumerang’s perspective, they’re a bit expensive, but not the most expensive company that I found online.

Here’s the list of packages that you want to avail of:

1. Affiliate membership – will cost you $49.95 per month
2. Coach Class – will cost you $250 one time and then $49.95 per month
3. Business class – will cost you $500 one time and then $99 per month
4. First Class – will cost you $1000 one time and then $99 per month

iBuumerang Compensation Plan

iBuumerang’s compensation plan doesn’t really stand out, but it’s not that simple as well. We’ll get down to the highlights of their plan and what you only need to know:

Recruitment commission

You earn a commission if you were able to recruit someone into the system, depending on the type of package your referral availed of. The more expensive the package, the higher the commission you receive.

Retail commission

You earn a commission from making a sale through the program. If they book a ticket using iGo through your referral link then it’s considered as your retail sales and you earn a commission.

Residual commission

When you recruit people and make a sale, they become your downlines and you earn through their sales as well. A percentage of their sales is earned, so the more people you recruit and have selling, the more money you earn from them.

#1  It’s Not Easy To Succeed!

I couldn’t find any income disclosure statement from their company so it’s hard to determine if people actually made money from their program.

This statement usually tells us how much people are earning at all levels and at all ranks annually and monthly.

But since there’s no IDS, I don’t think anyone’s made any money at all.

#2 Not BBB Accredited?

The answer is NO! Any company that’s worth its time and money need to have their own BBB accreditation. This is basically an outlet for businesses to have people something about their program.

Because this company is new, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt because they’re a relatively new company and maybe they’re in the process of getting accredited.

#3 Not Registered With ABTA Or A Travel Agency!

Another red flag here is that iBuumerang is not accredited with ABTA or Association of British Travel Agents.

Let me tell you why this is a big deal. Their company operates in Essex, United Kingdom and they should have this accreditation because it’s required for all travel agents in the UK.

I did more research and I don’t think they’re associated with any association for travel agents.

#4 Expensive Packages!

So, for you to sign up to their program, you’ll need to pay up a $1000 one-time fee plus maintain a monthly cost of $99, which is insane.

There are cheaper MLM companies out there that could get you your money back, and that’s why you probably don’t have a lot of people earning from their program.

Quite frankly, there’s just nothing that I like about iBuumerang. The business opportunity sounds promising, but it’s just that: a promising business opportunity that doesn’t do anything for you.

iBuumerang appears to be a legitimate MLM business opportunity, but it has a lot of red flags that prevents me from recommending this program to anyone.

The biggest issue that I have with their program is that they have no proper accreditation for travel agencies, and what that means is that there’s no accountability on their end if something does happen.

They don’t have a BBB profile so people don’t know if the company’s good or not, so that’s another issue for someone who lives and dies by their BBB’s.

I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.
