What is Hungry Bark?
With a name like Hungry Bark, you can’t help but feel all warm and mushy inside. This is a MLM or multi-level marketing company that operates in the pet supplies niche. You read that right. This is probably the first, and only, MLM company that markets to pet owners.
The company was founded in mid-2019 by Nick Molina. Outside of Hungry Bark, it appears that he doesn’t have any prior MLM experience so this might be his first.
The company operates out of Florida in the USA.
Molina is also a:
Member of the Board of Directors of Support Pets, which is an online technology platform that connects pet owners with medical professionals to provide Emotional Support Animal certifications.
Founder of Endangered INvestments, which is a group that claims to be made up of “smart money investors”.
Before his involvement with Hungry Bark, Molina worked in the vaping and telecommunications industries.

Does The Product Work?
Hungry Bark is a supplier for superfoods for dogs, and a brief look at their ingredients list meat and meat derivatives as primary ingredients. They also emphasize that food products are grain-free, which is good to see.
They also have a custom plan questionnaire, which is nothing more than a short survey that helps you determine what product is best for you.
Another MLM company named NeVetica has a similar marketing tool, but Hungry Bark doesn’t present its questionnaire as a veterinary alternative. Rather, it’s geared towards general wellness.
With that being said, I would still advise you to consult your vet if you want to change your dog’s diet. Of course, you can always transition them from your old dog food to a new one by mixing portions up until the dog is now consuming a full portion of Hungry Bark. This will allow you to find out whether or not your dog will have issues or adverse reactions from the food.
Their compensation plan is not your typical MLM compensation plan, but it still works on product sales and recruitment. However, there’s more focus on the former.
How To Make Money with Hungry Bark?
There are two ways to make money from Hungry Bark.
Retail sales or affiliate sales
How To Get Started with Hungry Bark?
At the bottom of their website, you’ll find the button that says “Affiliate Program” and you’ll have to click on the button to join.
There’s no membership fee associated with Hungry Bark’s compensation plan. Instead, you get a referral link and promote that to get commissions from people who buy through your link.
You also have the option of just buying the product without going through their compensation plan.
Hungry Bark Compensation Plan
Hungry Bark has a 2-tier affiliate program that allows you to earn commissions when you refer buyers or recruit members.
Here’s how it works.
You earn a 20% commission when you refer a customer who signs up for a subscription. Note that this 20% is based on your customers’ first order.
You earn a 5% recurring commission on all subsequent orders.
You earn a 20% commission on orders made by people you refer even if they don’t subscribe.
You get a 5% commission on every subscription sign-up and non-subscription purchase generated by members you referred into the Hungry Bark affiliate program.
You earn a 1% recurring commission if the first order was a subscription and for each subsequent order.
Hungry Bark Ugly Truths Revealed!
#1 It’s Expensive
The products are a little bit on the expensive side, but it’s completely understandable when you look at the ingredient list. And I’m sure people are just going to ignore the price tag as long as it’s good for their furbabies.
#2 No Data On Whether People Are Making Money!
Granted, this is a new MLM company so we may not be seeing the income disclosure statement yet. However, we haven’t found any feedback on whether or not people are making money from their affiliate program.
You’re earning an average of $8 per sale based on commissions, and $2 for every succeeding order on average if they subscribed to Hungry Bark.
This may not equate to full-time income, but it might put a little bit of money in your pockets.
I'll be there to guide you personally 🙂
What I Like About Hungry Bark?
#1 A New And Healthy Concept
The concept of a custom diet is gaining momentum and popularity because people are more conscious about what they put in their bodies. These are also the same people who want to make sure they’re giving their furbabies nothing but the best food possible.
Customized pet food is a new concept in the MLM industry and we’re probably looking at a game-changer in the next few years.
#2 Free To Join!
This is a rare feature, even by MLM standards. You can take part in their compensation plan without shelling out a lot of money, or wasting inventory space. Their affiliate program is straightforward and makes it easy for you to market the company without the burden of recruiting people
Is Hungry Bark a Scam?
Hungry Bark is a legitimate MLM company and we’d like to think that this has the potential to be big in the next few years. It’s only been around for less than a year, but there’s little reason to not try out the products here.
As for their compensation plan, this may not be the best source for you if you want a full-time income. You’re earning less than $20 per sale and even less on subsequent orders.
We don’t have any idea yet on how much people are making from the affiliate program, so that’s also one thing that’s up in the air for now. We’re just going to wait for an income disclosure statement soon.
But if you just want to give your furbabies the best food possible while making money at the same time, then this might be worth looking into.
