MegaTypers Review – Get Paid To Solve Captchas?!

MegaTypers is a GPT or Get Paid To program that pays you to only do one thing: solving captchas. Now, this is where it’s a little tricky to determine.

We don’t know who runs the program, and we don’t know where they operate. All we know is that they were established back in 2012, so they’ve been around for a few years now. It operates the same way as 2Captcha, which is another GPT site that pays you to complete Captchas.

What Is A Captcha?

A Captcha is basically a test that helps websites separate actual users from bots. It’s also a security feature that prevents automated entries or logins by another source.

A Captcha requires manual entry and is almost close to impossible to automate its entries.

With MegaTypers, your job is to solve as many Captchas as many as you can.

MegaTypers is an opportunity that’s available to international audiences. Officially, your job is basically a data entry position and it’s a legitimate way to make money in a lot of countries.

You only need to sign up for an account, verify your email, and then get started on working.

How to Make Money on MegaTypers?

Once you’re signed up, you’ll login to your Dashboard and start doing the Captchas.

You’ll be given one Captcha after another, and you have solve them as quickly as possible. The faster you solve, the more money you can potentially make.

You earn an average of $1.5 for every 1000 captcha images. You can refer to their pay chart right here:

It doesn’t really impress us that much, given that it’s going to take quite a while to make some coin here.

Do They Have a Referral System?

MegaTypers also has a referral system but it’s not going to exactly help you pad your income. You won’t get any money from people the moment they sign up, but you get a percentage of what they earn if they do continue.

You earn about 10% of their earnings, so you technically get $1 for every $10 they earn.

Who Are You Solving CAPTCHAS For?

Here’s where it starts to get sketchy because these Captchas are required to be completed by their clients. Apparently, they’re not that transparent on who needs these Captchas done.

So there are two possibilities here. MegaTypers is hired by spammers and hackers to get past security features, or you’re helping identify captchas that could help websites put up a better spam-security and protection.

We don’t want to assume which clientele they’re getting, so we’re going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Unfortunately, there’s no one that I would recommend this program to. There’s just no way that this is going to be worth your time.

#1 Lots Of Negative Complaints

On their SiteJabber profile, they have about 50+ total feedback. 28 of them are 1-star reviews, so a lot of people have something bad to say about the program.

A lot of these complaints are focused on MegaTypers shutting down your account, or banning it completely when you’re about to withdraw your money. You also get random deductions once you hit certain amounts.

Like there was one review that mentioned he had $5 in his account, but it went to $0.50 the next time he logged on.

Again, this doesn’t mean that this summarizes the experiences for other members, but it’s a good idea on how well they’re treating their members.

#2 Low Income Potential

On their landing page, they say that they’re giving out easy money, bragging about helping you make $100 to $250 a month.

That’s in no way close to impossible. Because let’s be honest here, 1000 captchas to make $1 is just time-consuming.

If you base it on that, you’re making about $0.001 per Captcha. Assuming it takes you 5 seconds to complete and load another captcha, that’s a total of 5000 seconds. That’s 83 hours, with some change.

If you do it for 8 hours a day, that’s 10 days to make $1. That’s not very enticing at all.

That’s also assuming that you can load captchas in 5 seconds or less too.

#3 They Can Terminate Your Account

Like I mentioned earlier, your account may get banned if you try to withdraw your cash. Now it doesn’t happen to everyone since people are also saying that they get paid by MegaTypers. But the fact that this happens means that your income isn’t even guaranteed.

You also get banned for missing Captchas or incurring a lot of errors.

MegaTypers is a legitimate GPT site that pays you to complete Captchas, but it’s not really that much of a game-changer. There are better programs out there that could pay you more money for your time.

1.       The income potential is quite low, and we’ve already done the math on how long it takes you to earn $1. That’s also assuming that the captchas load up within the time specified.

2.       There are several complaints about MegaTypers, including people who got banned for withdrawing their money. This doesn’t really apply to all members since there are still people who got paid. It does imply that your income is not guaranteed.

This program will definitely be not worth your time, and we don’t even think it’s going to make anyone happy. Rumors has it that they’re going to shut down any time soon, but we’ll see what the future holds for MegaTypers.
