Is UpCrowdMe a Scam? Don’t Be Fooled By This Program!

Welcome to my UpCrowdMe review!

This program went through some significant changes with its business model just recently after getting flak for the type of business they’re running.

Let’s talk about UpCrowdMe…

First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.

That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!

Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with XXX in any form.

So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.

Instead, I'm here to reveal

UpCrowdMe Review Summary

Product Name:  UpCrowdMe

Founder:  Tim Bentley

Product Type:  Recruitment-Based Program

Price:  $10 per month + Various Starter Sets

Best For:  No one

Is UpCrowdMe a Scam Image Summary

Summary:  UpCrowdMe looks like a legitimate affiliate marketing platform that has you recruiting people into the program. There's a lot of heavy recruitment going on without any product or service being sold, so those are two red flags. The system also reminds us of previous scams that we reviewed, so that's not a good sign as well.

Rating: 30/100

What is UpCrowdMe?

UpCrowdMe’s old business model was that of a peer-to-peer donation type program that allowed you to make money from others that donated to you.

In other words, it was a weird crowdfunding program of sorts. Back then, they also didn’t reveal who their owner was.

But as of November 2019, they went through major changes in its business model and is now known as UCM Social (UpCrowdMe Social).

Who Created UpCrowdMe?

We found out that the man behind UpCrowdMe is Tim Bentley, and you can find his video on their landing page.

There’s not a lot of information about who he is, except that he’s studied coaching and mentoring at the University of Phoenix. He also has a website called 69bentley.com, where you can see the old UpCrowdMe website still up and running.

Inside UpCrowdMe

Their old business model of their $5 crowdfunding no longer works for new members, but rather they launched a more sophisticated structure that provides you with different levels of services, which I’ll explain in detail below.

These changes now allow their members to have some form of residual income.

Training Level (FREE, with an option to become an affiliate at $10 per month)

The basic level has you registering an account for free with UpCrowdMe and you’ll receive your video training at no cost.

But you don’t become an affiliate just yet. You’ll have to pay a monthly fee of $10 before you can take part of their affiliate program.

As an affiliate, you can enjoy $5 for every affiliate sign up through your link, with the exception of the 1st and 3rd member you signed up since they get passed on to your sponsor (the one who recruited you).

As long as they continue to pay the monthly fee, you’ll receive your commissions every month.

Who's UpCrowdMe For?

UpCrowdMe, or UCM Social, may look promising at a glance but it has nothing to offer to you if you’re looking for a source of full-time income.

There’s a lot of work to do to really make this program worth your while if you want to churn thousands of dollars a month.

UpCrowdMe Ugly Truths Revealed!

#1 Hidden Costs?

I would assume that every cost would be covered in the level you signed up for. But apparently, I found a review from a user that mentioned some hidden costs on top of the costs that were advertised.

Check this out:

Is UpCrowdMe a Scam - Hidden Costs

Obviously, you’re not getting what’s written on the sales page, and the only way to uncover these sales hidden costs is to sign up for the program.

To me, that’s not complete transparency and I wouldn’t do business with anyone who hides certain costs.

#2 Expensive Startup Costs!

You may start off at $10 per month, but you’re not going to enjoy the full commissions if your referral signs up for the higher levels.

You potentially miss out on the commissions just because they signed up with a higher level.

#3 Pay To Play System!

What their business model is promoting is a kind of “Pay to Play” system, so the more you pay, the more money you could earn.

This completely ties in with the expensive startup costs because you have to match the costs of joining that you want to earn the most commissions from.

Now obviously you can’t sign up for the $10 level and get the $1000 commissions. This program reminds me so much of Digital Altitude and MOBE (My Own Business Education), which were all shut down by the FTC or Federal Trade Commission.

#4 Emphasis On Recruitment!

There’s no other way to make money from their program other than to recruit people. They don’t have any physical products or services to avail of, which is one of the red flags of a pyramid scheme as listed by the Federal Trade Commission.

Now I am not accusing them of being a pyramid scheme since this is just one of the red flags, but it’s worth knowing what their business model has you doing and what it needs you to do to make some money.

What I Like About UpCrowdMe?

UpCrowdMe isn’t something that I’d recommend to anyone, and for that reason, I don’t think there’s something positive that I found about their program during my research.

To me, they’re just a money-grabbing scheme.

Is UpCrowdMe a Scam?

UpCrowdMe or UCM Social appears to be a legitimate program that has you signing up for a lot of things, and the higher you pay, the more money you make.

And that’s the problem right there.

They don’t have any physical products or services to sell, so they’re just requiring you to recruit more people into the program in order to make money.

Their business model also doesn’t allow you to make more money if you signed up for a lower level than your referral.

With that said, they remind me of two other programs that the FTC has shut down over the past few years.

I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone who’s looking to make some money online.
