Is Univera a Scam? A 20-Year Old MLM Company Reviewed!
Welcome to my Univera review!
The health and wellness niche in the MLM industry is one of the biggest niches, right alongside the finance niche and cryptocurrency niche. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume any brand-new health and wellness company is a MLM company.
Some of the biggest health and wellness MLM’s are even getting athletes to promote their products and company. If that’s not big, then I don’t know what is.
Today, we’re looking at one of the industry veterans called Univera and see what they have to bring to the table.
First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.
That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!
Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with Univera in any form.
So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.
Instead, I'm here to reveal what this company is about and if it can make you some money.

What is Univera?
Univera is a MLM or multi-level marketing company belonging to the health and wellness niche. They market various supplements and skin-care products.
The company was founded in 1998, which is already an achievement in itself. Not a lot of MLM companies last this long, so they got to be doing something right.
Univera is a subsidiary of ECONET, a company founded by YunHo Lee in 1976. But Univera didn’t come into existence until 1998. The company’s headed by Bill Lee and Ralph Bietz, serving as Chairman and CEO respectively.
Univera Product Line
Univera markets nutritional products that aim to vitalize, restore, and nourish your body. Every product is backed by the power and science of cellular renewal.
Univera has their own team of scientists that study advanced cell renewal and the effect of certain ingredients down to the DNA level. This extreme dedication to science is the reason why Univera has built up an amazing health and wellness empire.
Their products are made available through their Univera associates (members who sign up for the business opportunity).
Some of their product categories include:
- Bone and joint care
- Digestive health
- Energy and mental clarity
- Heart health
- Him and Her
- Optimal Health
- Immune health
- Superfoods
- Weight management’s etc.
The prices of these products range from $25 to $100 for singular products, while bundles can cost as much as $1,000.
The Univera Aloe Select Drink
The product contains green tea leaf extract and decolorized aloe leaf extract. This combo is meant to aid in boosting the immune system. Its antioxidant contents provide better support for digestive health and improve nutrient absorption.
There are other product variations for their Aloe Select product line:
- Aloe Select Mango Sachet – $42.99 for 30 Sachets or Preferred Price of $38.99
- Aloe Gold Dietary Supplement – $36.99 for 30oz Bottle or Preferred Price of $33.99
- Aloedophilus Advanced Probiotic – $34.99 for 30 Veggie capsules or $31.99

Does The Product Work?
In terms of product quality, I couldn’t find any feedback about it directly. Most of the feedback coming from their BBB profile are focused on the pricing and poor shipment of the products.
That’s probably a good sign that the product does not have any adverse effects towards its users.
However, the lack of any positive feedback can lead to one of two things:
- The benefits of the products are sufficient enough and matches their expectations, so it’s not worth mentioning.
- The products aren’t that useful at all, but since it doesn’t leave them with side effects, they chose not to say anything.
Either way, I am kind of disappointed with the lack of feedback about the products.

How To Make Money with Univera?
Univera follows a typical MLM business opportunity, so you have two ways to make money as a Univera associate:
- You can sell products and earn retail commissions (profits) or selling to preferred customers (discounted prices).
- You can recruit people into your team and have them sell products.
To qualify as an active member, you’ll need to maintain 100PV or Personal Points Volume. To maintain this PV, you’ll need to purchase a convenient personal pack that cost at least $179. There are other higher priced products that you can purchase too, as seen below:
How To Get Started with Univera?
Like most MLM companies, you’ll become a member of Univera if you purchase their starter pack.
These packs cost anywhere between $50 and $799. The higher the price tag, the more products you get and the bigger discount you receive.
Here’s a snippet of their different starter packs:
Univera Compensation Plan
Retail Sales
You can make up to 20% per sale, depending on how much wholesale discount you receive and your membership. If you’re selling to a customer, you get 20%. If you sell to a preferred customer (a customer who you signed up to purchase from you every month), you get a 10% profit.
This chart shows the difference between ranks:
Unilevel Commissions
Univera also rewards you with incentives when you recruit people to make retail sales.
Your team goes up to 4 levels down, and how much you make depends on your rank and what level the sale is coming from.
Generation Pay
This is where most of your income will come from. It rewards sales volume down to certain ranks, allowing you to help people get promoted in rank to.
If your rank is Silver, you earn 5% on all volume sold down, and then it goes on up until Blue Diamond rank.
The table is confusing so we’ll just leave this for reference.
We won’t be going into too much detail, so you can refer to this video for more information about their business opportunity:
Univera Ugly Truths Revealed!
#1 Expensive Products
Their products are on the high-end, and this is already expected of MLM companies. If you go to Amazon, you’ll find cheaper products from more recognizable brands.
So there’s no motivation here to really buy from Univera unless you really have to.
#2 Low Income
If you look at their fine print, you’ll notice that they excluded the lowest and highest 20% of income earners.
This is quite convenient because the 20% of income earners show that 0.1% of them are the top earners and the 19.9% are the low-earners.
This is a common dilemma in most MLM companies because people at the lowest rank aren’t always going to make money. You’ll be lucky to make a hundred bucks a year.
We’re not saying you’re not going to succeed in MLM. It’s just going to be very difficult to achieve the kind of income that you want.

What I Like About Univera?
#1 More Than 20 Years In The Industry
The fact that they’ve been in the industry for more than 20 years is amazing. This isn’t a simple feat either. This just means that the company has a consistent stream of income coming from all sides, and that they’re moving products as expected.
#2 Diverse Products
Their product catalog is diverse and caters to various health needs, so it won’t be that much of a challenge to sell. The only thing that really makes their brand difficult to sell is the price tag.
Again, you can find cheaper products on Amazon.
Is Univera a Scam?
Univera is one of the oldest MLM companies we’ve reviewed, and is as legitimate as it can get. However, you can’t rely on it if you’re looking for a source of full-time income.
- Their income disclosure statement just revealed that not a lot of people are making money at the lowest level, which is where you’ll start from.
- Their products are on the expensive side, which could make it difficult to sell the products. This is also probably the reason why members are having difficulties making money.
Regardless, the company is still worth checking out just because they’ve been in the industry for 20 years. They must be doing something right. If you can sell their products, then by all means check them out.
How I Make a Living Online?
I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.
The reason is simple...
- You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
- You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
- It's Free to get started
In fact, with affiliate marketing...
