What is Take Shape For Life?

If you search "Take Shape For Life" in Google right now, you can't find anything about this company, not even their website.

Instead, the first website you'll see is the one called "Optavia".

So, let me give you some background information first on this "weird" company...

Take Shape For Life was founded in 2002. It's sole purpose is to help people lose weight by consuming meal replacement products.

It has a parent company called Medifast, which was founded back in 1980.

However in 2016, Take Shape For Life has been re-branded because they want to setup their own independent company for greater purpose.

OPTAVIA is the brand they adopt since 2016.

The core products, services and business model is still the same. Just that they're now advancing and venturing into more areas to create a greater impact.

That's the background information you might want to know...

To understand more about their company background, the products offered and how to make money, below is a thorough video explaining all these to you:

What Does Take Shape For Life Offer?

The main product Take Shape For Life offers is meal replacement.

Meal replacement simply means substitutes to the main meals. The purpose of these meal replacements is to help people lose weight by controlling the foods & nutrition they put into their body.

Some examples of meal replacements offered by Take Shape For Life include:

  • Shakes
  • Bars
  • Brownies
  • Pancakes
  • Mac & Cheese

The good thing about these meal replacements is that:

  • Their ingredients & nutrition are well-researched and science-based
  • You can fully control what you put into your body
  • Take Shape For Life offers more than 60 choices of meal replacements

But the problem is that:

  • They're expensive
  • Some of their taste will be different from normal food and it can be weird
  • It's quite impossible for you to replace your normal food/meal 100%

How to Make Money with Take Shape For Life?

Take Shape For Life adopted the business model called Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or Network Marketing.

In order for you to make money with them, you have to first purchase a $199 Health Coach Business Kit, which has the training and marketing materials to help you get started.

To be honest, I believe those materials don't worth that much.

This $199 Starter Kit is kind of like a membership fee.

Not only that, there's a $99/year "Business renewal fee" for all distributors if you want to continue make money with them.

In my opinion, this kind of fee is unacceptable. A good MLM company won't charge this kind of fee.

After qualifying to become their distributor, you're now known as their "Health Coach". It's simply a beautiful term to describe independent distributors.

In order for you to make money, these are some of the things you'll be doing:

  • Recruiting downlines (getting more members to join TSFL under you)
  • Sell Take Shape For Life products & earn a commission
  • Help your downlines make money
  • Climb up the ranks to make even more money

That's the basic overview, for full details, please refer to their Compensation Plan!

What I Like About Take Shape For Life...

1. Solid Company Background

The parent company of Take Shape For Life, Medifast, has pretty solid authority in the healthcare and weight loss industry.

It has been recommended by more than 20,000 doctors since 1980.

This fact alone can give Take Shape For Life enough credibility to be trusted.

2. Better Compensation Plan

The good thing about their unique compensation plan is that they don't compensate distributors for recruiting members.

Distributors are only compensated based on:

  • The amount of sales
  • How well your downlines perform

The benefit of such rules is that it refrains people from simply focusing on recruiting.

Instead, distributors are more focused on helping clients and downlines.

So, Take Shape For Life can never be a pyramid scheme.

3. 30-Day Refund Period

Also, if you're not satisfied with the product, you can get a refund within 30 days.

This is necessary as some people will definitely complain about the taste of the meal replacements.

It's impossible to satisfy every single person's taste and preference.

What I DON'T Like About Take Shape For Life...

1. Too Expensive

optavia fuelings

Their meal plans/packages can cost up to $400+. That is for 1 person for 30 days.

This hasn't include the cost of running Take Shape For Life as a business.

Like I've explained earlier on, you have to spend $199 to join with a $99/year fee.

Also, in order for you to qualify for commission, there's a minimum monthly order to fulfill.

Despite having these meal replacements, I'm sure you're not going to stop consuming anything else. There will still be expenditures on foods, drinks groceries, etc.

2. FAKE Coach

Once you've paid $199 to join TSFL as an independent distributor, you're now a "Health Coach" within their system.

So, the name "Health Coach" doesn't really mean anything. It doesn't mean you're an expert in health or weight loss. That's BS. It only means that you're now officially a distributor of Take Shape For Life.

The problem is that this can cause misunderstanding or confusion for beginners.

They might think these "Health Coaches" are really knowledgeable in health.

3. Not Sustainable

If you really want to lose weight, you can't solely rely on meal replacement.

Exercising is one of the most important element in losing weight.

What I believe is that meal replacement can be a short term measure but it's impossible to be sustainable.

Are you going to give up on all the mouth-watering foods for the rest of your life?

No, it's not possible.

The most sustainable way of losing weight will always be having the habit of exercising and creating a better lifestyle.

Agree?

Is Take Shape For Life a Scam?

Take Shape For Life is definitely NOT a scam.

It has a solid background with science-based products.

But like I've said, it's too expensive in my opinion. There are much cheaper ways to lose weight and make money.

How I Make a Living Online...

I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.

The reason is simple...

  • You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
  • You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
  • It's Free to get started

In fact, with affiliate marketing...

I've personally created a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream and become financially independent at just 21 years old without any College degree or working experience!

Through my own hard work, I went from a broke restaurant waiter to living my dream laptop lifestyle in less than a year's time...
