Is Panda Research A Scam? A Survey Site With A Terrible Secret!

Welcome to my Panda Research review!

No, don't get this confused with a program that does research on actual Pandas.

In fact it has nothing to do with the bears at all.

This is a paid survey program that hides a terrible (but legal) secret.

This is Panda Research!

First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.

That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!

Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with Panda Research in any form.

So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.

Instead, I'm here to reveal their terrible secret that completely turned this review from somewhat decent to completely negative.

Is Panda Research a scam?

It's not, but it definitely has something up its sleeve.

Panda Research Review Image Summary

Summary:  Panda Research is a market research company that runs a paid survey program to gather data for its clients. Unfortunately, I discovered something that prevents me from recommending this program to anyone. Why? It's because they have a legal disclaimer that actually does not obligate them to pay members, and I have proof of that in this article.

Rating: 10/100

What is Panda Research?

Panda Research is a market research company that was founded in 2005, working under the umbrella of A&A Marketing Inc. This is the same marketing group that brings you survey sites such as InboxPays and InboxDollars.

But unlike the two other brands, Panda Research is the flagship product of the group and has generated more users than the other survey sites under the group.

Panda Research is very similar to other survey sites on the web, so you basically need to fill up their form, answer their demographic questionnaire, and then get matched with the survey opportunities.

And like other market research companies, Panda Research is the middleman between you and the other companies who are after your information.

Inside Panda Research

Panda Research is a market research company that runs a paid survey program to get information from their users to provide to their clients.

If you’re familiar with how these survey sites work, then you’ll have no problem familiarizing Panda Research’s system.

Now, there’s nothing that sets them apart from any other survey company, which is a shame given that they’re in the business now for more than 14 years.

How Can You Make Money With Panda?

There are only three ways for you to earn money via Panda Research

  1. Completing Surveys – You get credited the corresponding dollar amount for every survey completed.
  2. Completing Paid Offers – Every now and then, you’ll receive “offers” for product trials from Panda Research. Some of them will charge a small fee for shipping and handling, while others need your credit card information.
  3. Referring People – You get paid every time you refer new members to the site and you also earn a commission from their activities.

How Does Payment Work?

You’ll need a PayPal account if you want to work with Panda Research because that’s the only way you’re going to get paid.

There’s no bank transfer option or option for cheques.

And unlike most survey sites, there’s no point conversion system with Panda Research.

You’re going to get the actual dollar value credited to your account, usually within the next 24 hours after you complete the survey or paid offer.

The minimum payout is at $50, and $25 of that has to be from completing paid offers.

There’s already a restriction in terms of the quality that you can do on their site, which is not really enticing to say the least.

Then Panda Research only pays out twice per month, on the 1st and 15th, and only after a 30-day waiting period from requesting payment.

So that’s a long time to get paid.

What Does Panda Research Use My Information and Answers For?

Panda Research uses the information they get from the surveys for market research purposes.

Your answers will go to the company who created the survey to help answer their questions or to improve their products or services.

As for your personal information, Panda Research does not share or sell it to any other company unless you agree to it.

All of these can be found on their Privacy Policy page.

Who's Panda Research For?

Panda Research doesn’t seem all that bad, and to me, they’re just your typical paid survey intermediary.

But I’m about to show you one good reason why they’re not a good program for you or anyone.

But if you are looking for a more serious and more consistent way of earning money online, I would suggest checking out my step-by-step guide on affiliate marketing.

Panda Research Ugly Truths Revealed!

#1 – No Payment Guarantee On Their Disclaimer!

A lot of sites are known for hiding a lot of nasty stuff on their disclaimers or terms and conditions contract.

But we don’t read that because who does, right?

Now to me, Panda Research seemed fine at first then I came upon this particular clause on their disclaimer:

Panda Research No Payment Guarantee

Here's the clause from their disclaimer!

This website basically just waived your rights to come after them if they don’t pay you.

It’s like a restaurant telling you that they’re not liable for anything you lose while on their property.

To me, this is just unacceptable because they can just refuse to pay you outright without having to explain their side and you can’t do anything about it LEGALLY because you didn’t read their disclaimer.

#2 – People Were Not Getting Paid!

And sure enough, people jumped through hoops to get paid.

Let me tell you that a $50 threshold for a program that pays out probably in cents is ridiculous.

Do you realize the time it takes for you to reach that threshold, and then have to wait 30 days for your payment to be approved?

But that’s not all. As soon as I read their disclaimer, I knew right then and there that there were actually people who didn’t get paid.

Panda Research Complaints About Not Getting Paid

Complaints about not getting paid

Whether or not these were all intentional, the fact remains that Panda Research is doing this because they are legally protected by their disclaimer.

#3 – Guess What? Limited Earning Potential!

What do you get when you’re earning $50 dollars after waiting for 30 days from a paid survey program?

You guessed it right. You’re getting low earning potential!

By the time you’ve worked your way towards that $50, you could’ve probably earned a little bit more if you went through a different program other than paid surveys.

And based on numerous reviews, I can attest that majority of these survey sites online are not exactly worth anyone’s time.

What I Like About Panda Research?

This would’ve turned out to be a review with at least something positive written about it.

But do you know what killed it for me?

It’s their No-Payment Guarantee on their disclaimer.

Now this doesn’t mean that they’re not going to pay everybody. It’s just a way for them to not be obligated to pay to their members.

Is Panda Research A Scam?

Panda Research is a legitimate market research company that provides a paid survey program to gather data for its clients.

Despite being in the industry for more than a decade, I can’t recommend their program to anyone else.

The reason being is that they’re protected legally by a non-payment clause on their disclaimer, which basically states that they may not guarantee payment for their members at any given time.

This is just a legal way for them to not be obligated to pay you or other members.

Having very low earning potential, the site also has members complaining about not getting paid, which is quite far from being coincidental.

After all, they are not obligated to pay you so they don’t owe you an explanation as to why you may not get paid.
