Is OnePoll a Scam? It's Your Generic Survey Panel!

Is OnePoll a Scam? It’s Your Generic Survey Panel!

Welcome to my OnePoll review!

Paid survey sites are always going to be around. They’ll probably outlive a few MLM companies here and there, as well as some affiliate marketing programs. But that doesn’t mean that they’re a decent source of income.

In fact, we’ve reviewed quite a handful of these survey sites and only recommended around 5 of them to be decent sources of income.

Today, we’re checking out OnePoll and we’re going to find out if they’re worth getting into or not.

First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.

That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!

Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with OnePoll in any form.

So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.

Instead, I'm here to reveal what this survey panel has to offer, if ever...

Is OnePoll a Scam Image Summary

Summary:  OnePoll is your typical survey panel that doesn't really have a lot to offer. Their customer service is really good, but I wish we could say the same thing for their income potential and payout threshold.

What is OnePoll?

OnePoll is a survey company located in Filton, Bristol. They’re partnered with major UK retailers that hire them to do their market research services for them.

Part of their client fees is paid out to the members who participates in the surveys and in their other tasks.

They have 2 offices in London and Bristol, and one in New York. They’ve recently expanded their offices to France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Their annual revenue averages to about $4 million, which isn’t that bad for a survey company.

Inside OnePoll

Signing up for OnePoll is free and it’s easy. As far as we’re concerned, they cater to members from all around the world.

Is OnePoll a Scam - Referral

Is OnePoll a Scam - Referral

You just have to fill up with your name, email address, and then fill up with your demographic info such as age, zip code, marital status, and gender.

They ask for your demographic information so they can match you with the surveys that are meant for you.

The country where you live will also affect survey availability. You may not be able to qualify for the surveys that are restricted only for UK-based members.

The surveys and tasks that you do will be exchanged for monetary rewards. With that said, here’s the income opportunity provided by OnePoll.

Surveys

The main source of income provided by OnePoll is surveys. There’s a lot of them too thanks to their retail partners.

You’ll be able to see the available surveys once you log in to the member’s dashboard. You also get to see how much they’re worth.

Just like most survey sites, they’re not worth a lot and may take awhile before you can finish one. You just have to do the ones that are worth doing and that’s about it.

Prize Draws

We haven’t really found much information about their prize draws.

What we have surmised from third-party reviews is that their prize draws are based on specific surveys that allow you to get an entry of sorts.

So what I guess happens is that you take a survey and might be lucky enough to get a prize draw entry.

We also don’t know how much people are earning if they do win these prize draws, and we haven’t seen feedback from members and other people.

Referral Program

Their referral program allows you to make money when you invite people into the program. You earn 50 points once they complete their first survey.

Once a referral earns £20, you get £1. When they earn £40, you get $2.50. You earn about £4 per referral once they hit the £40 threshold.

You’re only allowed 15 referrals, so that’s about £60 more earnings paid out to you per £40 earning.

In our opinion, it is quite lackluster because you still need to have them do surveys and to cap out at £40 before they can contribute to your earnings

How Do You Get Paid?

OnePoll allows you to withdraw your earnings via PayPal or BACS. BACS is an automated payment system in the UK and has lots of electronic payment affiliates within the region.

You need to reach a payout threshold of £40 before you can withdraw your earnings. That’s roughly $55 based on today’s conversion, and that’s considerably high based on survey standards.

It also takes you 28 days before you can receive your payment (or to reflect in your accounts), which is a long time.

How Much Money Can You Make?

Most surveys average at about 0.20 points, or roughly £0.20. You need to do about 200 surveys at that rate to get to £40. That could take a few weeks or a few months if you’re unlucky.

Does It Have a Mobile App?

OnePoll also has a mobile app that you can download from both Google Play and App Store. We haven’t seen any complaints about their mobile app, so it probably performs well enough to meet member standards.

But if you do decide to log in using the mobile browser, you might be disappointed. OnePoll’s website is not mobile-friendly and will force you to scroll sideways to see the content.

Who's OnePoll For?

OnePoll is your typical survey panel and there’s nothing special about it. If you’re from the UK, you might be able to maximize it more than the non-UK residents. Other than that, I don’t see any reason why people should sign up for this.

OnePoll Ugly Truths Revealed!

#1 Low Income Potential

With most survey sites, the income potential is drastically low. You’re earning a few cents every survey, and you’d be lucky enough to land a few bucks here and there. Most of the time you’re grinding these points out to reach the maximum threshold.

There were also complaints about OnePoll not paying out their customers, but these are all unfounded accusations and are probably just from people who want to make the program look bad.

#2 High Payout Threshold

£40 or $55 is a very high payout threshold. Most of the survey sites we reviewed capped at $25 but this is probably the highest one we’ve seen yet.

As I mentioned earlier, it’s going to take you quite a while to get to this threshold. If you’re not from the UK, it might take you longer to complete the threshold than your UK counterparts.

What I Like About OnePoll?

#1 Excellent Customer Service

A very rare feature here is their excellent customer service. Normally survey sites wouldn’t pay attention to complaints, but OnePoll sets the standards for customer service.

All queries and complaints were addressed within the day, which is probably the reason why you don’t see a lot of members complaining about the earnings.

Is OnePoll a Scam?

OnePoll is a legitimate survey company and they’ve been around for about 16 years now, so I’d say they definitely have staying power.

But it might not be a great source of income because of the low income potential. Then when you combine it with their high payout threshold, it’s going to take you a few months at least to get your money out.

It might be easier for you if you’re in the UK since you have access to most of the surveys. You might make more money quicker than your non-UK counterparts, but that’s the only advantage you have.
