Scent Sation is a MLM or multi-level marketing company that distributes Mia Bella’s candles, or commonly known as Mia Bella’s Gourmet Candles. 

The founders of the company are Robert Scocozzo, Charles Umphred, Carmen Milazzo, and Lynn Milazzo. Scocozzo serves currently as the CEO of the company. The company wa founded in 2002, so they’ve been around for quite a while. 

Scent Sation offers you an income opportunity that has you selling the Mia Bella Candles along with their own product line. 

They currently have over 10,000 active distributors operating in the USA and Canada. They’re also estimating sales revenue of $4.4 million. 

Scent Sation Product Line

Scent Sation started out with promoting Mia Bella candles. According to their company bio, their candles give you all the benefits of scented candles without the negative effects. 

They were focused on making candles from materials that addressed soot damage and would burn longer than commercial candles. Wax residue could easily be cleaned with hot soapy water. 

Now, they’ve expanded their product lines to soaps, body lotions, hand lotions, potpourri, diffuser kits, and refresher oils. 

Their retail prices average between $8.95 and $24.95. 

Does The Product Work?

Based on their Facebook reviews, a lot of people seem to like their products. They’ve mentioned that they like the scents and packaging, specifically. 

Staying true to their claims, there are no issues with candle and soot damage so that’s also a huge bonus too. 

Do these claims make the products marketable to customers? It would seem so. People are drawn to aromatherapy products, even though Scent Sation doesn’t market them as such. 

However, they do have issues with their customer service and there are several complaints from their customers. We’ll explain that in the next sections.

How To Get Started with Scent Sation?

Their membership is all over the place, but here’s what we figured out for their kits. 

You can purchase these optional packages to get started, but these don’t cover the membership fee.

We assume the differences in the costs involve different product contents. If you pay for the $499.95 package, you’ll get more products. 

You’ll also have to pay the $9.95 initial cost for the business cost and then $14.95 monthly afterwards. This also gets you access to a replicated web store that allows you to sell products online. 

Scent Sation Compensation Plan

Scent Sation’s compensation plan involves retail sales and sponsoring new members. You are also eligible for higher bonuses when you get promoted to higher ranks.

MLM Commission Qualification

To qualify for these commissions, you need to subscribe to the monthly autoship. This is about $100PV per month, but you only need to order a minimum of $39.95 to maintain eligibility.

Retail Commissions

Retail commissions are simply your profits from buying their products at wholesale and selling at suggested retail price. We don’t know how much you’re getting off of wholesale pricing tho, but it would at least 15%.

Sponsoring Commissions

When your new members buy the starter packs, you earn a commission as follows:

1. Sponsor a Show Pack member and receive a $10 commission

2. Sponsor a Sample Pack member and receive a $20 commission

3. Sponsor a Fast Start Pack member and receive a $125 commission

Residual Commissions

Scent Sation pays out residual commissions following a unilevel compensation plan structure. For those who don’t know what this looks like, we’re going to explain a little bit. 

You are placed at the top of the structure. Your direct recruits are placed under you and are labeled as level 1. 

Your level 1 recruits will get new people under them, making them your level 2 and their level 1. 

This goes on for up to 8 levels total. 

You get commissions based on the sales of these levels.

Members are not receiving their products once they place their orders, and that some of them are even getting the wrong programs. 

This could be one of the biggest factors as to why people aren’t making as much money as they could. 

#3 You’re Somebody’s Downline

Scent Sation will require you to sign up via an existing distributor so you’re going to be someone’s downline. This doesn’t have you signing up as an independent distributor so people are going to make money off of you.

#1 Marketable Products

There’s no doubt that Scent Sation’s products are marketable. All you have to do is just find the right audience, if ever. 

Their products are good enough to compete against branded competitors, and even against other MLM companies. 

But again, it all boils down to how receptive people are of your products in your area.

Scent Sation is a legitimate MLM company that markets scented candles. It’s been around for 19 years so it’s safe to say they’re not doing anything wrong. 

However, their income opportunity leaves a lot to be desired because of its low income potential and the fact that you’re required to be someone’s downline. 

There’s nothing wrong with their products and they are staying true to their claim of marketing candles that don’t have any negative effects (soot damage, odd smells, and wax damage). 

With that said, it doesn’t hurt to try these products if you feel that there are enough people to sell it to in your area.
