Is Life Leadership a scam, or is it the real deal?

You be the judge.

Life Leadership Review Summary

Best For:  People who are charismatic and confident in selling programs like Life Leadership.

Is Life Leadership a Scam

Summary:  Life Leadership is a legitimate MLM company with a legitimate business opportunity that sells personal and professional development programs. But despite its unique offerings, I can't recommend this to anyone. First, no one's earning any money (and I got the proof!) Second, there's a clear lack of transparency on their educational and training materials to the point that members have to subscribe to them just to know how to sell them. Lastly, personal and professional development is a crowded niche. There are thousands of other (and better) programs out there than Life Leadership!

Life Leadership Product Line

Now, there are three product categories that members can promote with Life Leadership.

  1. Personal Development
  2. Professional Development
  3. Financial Development

These product categories contain monthly subscriptions for different products to help meet professional and personal development goals.

Life Leadership Product Line

1. Personal Development

Under this category, they have:

  1. Life Leadership - Costs $22 per month includes 1 Success magazine and 2 audios monthly.
  2. The Edge Series - Costs $11 per month and it includes one monthly audio.
  3. Rascal Radio: Costs $22 per month and claims to be their “world’s first online/mobile customizable personal development radio station”. This includes talks from motivational speakers and life coaches.
  4. The Freedom Series: Costs $11 per month and includes includes one monthly audio that apparently teaches you “the principles of freedom and what you can do to preserve it in your society”.
  5. All Grace Outreach: Costs $30 per month and includes 1 book and one audio monthly.

2. Professional Development

This one has four different subscriptions that change every year, and lasting between 12 and 18 months.

The cheapest one costs around $64.95, which is a 6-month subscription for their LLR Corporate Education. The subscription contains 1 book and 4 audios monthly for the 6 months.

3. Financial Development

This category contains the following products:

  1. The Financial Fitness Program – Costs $120 for the digital version or $180 for the digital + physical version. This contains 8 audios, 1 e-workbook, and 1 e-book that’s designed to help people budget their money.
  2. The Financial Fitness Master Class – Same price as the Financial Fitness program. This containsSame price as the Financial Fitness Program. This features 6 online videos and 14 audios designed for people “who want a deeper understanding of the principles of finances”.
  3. Beyond Financial Fitness - Same price as the previous two programs. This includes 2 online videos, 1 audiobook, 4 digital audios and 1 e-book. The physical version contains some CDs and DVDs and 1 book. This program is designed to help people “maximize the potential of your various streams of income by properly accumulating an ever-growing portfolio of cash-flow producing assets”.

And these are the monthly product subscriptions for this category:

  1. Financial Fitness Services – Costs $60 per month. I don’t have any other information about this product except that it’s designed to help protect your privacy, safety, and financial security from scams.
  2. Wealth Habits Series – Costs $33 for the first payment and $12 in subsequent months for the digital version. The physical version costs $54.50 for the first month, and $18 for the subsequent months. This program was designed to “help you develop the long-term habits of the wealthy in small, ongoing training sessions”.

To own all of the products, you’re looking to spend at least $200 in recurring monthly fees already, and let’s not forget about the one-time fees as well.

Do The Products Work?

It’s really difficult to gauge if products belonging to the personal development niche work or not for a lot of reasons.

But a quick glance at their Better Business Bureau or BBB profile makes it easy to determine if their products or services were somewhat acceptable.

Life Leadership BBB Product Complaint

I found out that most of their complaints are focused more on their customer service than anything, especially with the cancellation of the subscriptions and refunds.

It is good to know that the company is proactive in dealing with these complaints, but even then, issues with refunds or cancellation are never a good thing.

How Do You Make Money From Life Leadership?

There are different ways to earn money from Life Leadership. And just like any MLM company, you earn money via:

  1. Commissions
  2. Bonuses and incentives

And I’ll go into detail about these commissions, bonuses, and incentives below.

How To Get Started With Life Leadership?

Your typical membership for Life Leadership would cost the following:

  1. Business Starter Kit - $99 (one-time fee)
  2. $50 to $100 in monthly product subscriptions
  3. Optional: Life Training Marketing System - $121.49 (one-time fee)
  4. Membership fee - $19 per year

Life Leadership Compensation Plan

Now let’s talk about Life Leadership’s impressive compensation plan, which offers 19 different ways to earn money.

Life Leadership Compensation Plan

You read that right: 19 different ways to earn!

If I go into detail for every single one of them, you’d end up bored. So, I’ll just list down what these 19 are, and I’ll explain the most important ones.

  1. Retail Sales Commission
  2. Customer Pool Bonus
  3. Cumulative Customer Bonus
  4. Personal Volume Bonus Chart Commissions
  5. Customer Bonus Chart Commissions
  6. Differential Bonus Chart Commissions
  7. Product Scholarship Program
  8. Scholarship Development Bonus
  9. Coordinator Rank Advancement Trip
  10. Balanced Business Bonus
  11. Annual Cash Awards
  12. Leader Bonus

13-19. Various Depth Bonuses

1. Retail Sales Commission

Their commission is 15% on all sales, which is not that high compared to other wellness-based MLM’s like Shaklee or Xyngular.

2. Customer Pool Bonus

This bonus is paid out based on a member’s total Registered Customer sales in a month or as long as they hit 600 PV (personal volume). The bonus starts at $50 and increases as your sales go higher.

3. Cumulative Customer Bonus

This is similar to the Customer Pool Bonus, but it’s an annual bonus based on a member’s sale within an entire calendar year. Bonuses range from $500 for at least 500PV in annual sales to $40,000 for 200,000PV in annual sales.

4. Differential Bonus Chart Commission

This is based on the money you make from the total volume sold by your downline, and exact numbers for the commission rates are not specified.

5. Scholarship Bonuses

These are monthly bonuses that range between $60 and $500, depending on the size and performance of your team.

6. Depth Bonuses

Depth Bonuses, or better known as rank bonuses, reward distributors for moving up in rank and also rewarding them for members moving up in rank. Again, rates are not specified.

Life Leadership Ugly Truths Revealed!

#1 - Low Income Potential!

Based on their income disclosure statement, 99.25% of their members are earning less than $500 a year!

Life Leadership Income Disclosure Statement

2014 Income Disclosure Statement

At the lowest, roughly 30% of their members earned just about $27.40 for a year.

Just to pay off the $99 they spent for the business kit, it would take them 4 years to recoup the money at that rate.

They have an impressive amount of ways to earn income according to their compensation plan, so where did they go wrong?

In order for a member to be successful in this company, it looked like they were required to have high monthly sales volume and that would mean dedicating close to 8 hours of work to get that.

#2 - Lack Of Transparency

The company doesn’t put into exact details what they offer in their training materials, and to me, that’s a red flag in itself.

I mean, this is a personal development niche and in the thousands of products that are in this niche, you need to be as detailed as possible with what you’re offering.

No wonder it’s difficult for anyone to make a sale on these products. There’s hardly any snippet of information on them.

In order for members to know the product, they have to subscribe to the products themselves!

That’s crazy!

You’re losing money on what could’ve been training provided by the company to help you.

#3 - Personal Development Is A Crowded Niche

There’s nothing special about the personal development products that they offer.

The fact that these products are on a monthly subscription makes it difficult to sell this to anyone.

Why?

What’s to stop me from buying these books from Amazon for a ONE-TIME FEE?

Life Leadership Personal Development Books

I’m paying between $20 to $40 for any of these books, and these are from far more respectable authors like Dale Carnegie and Stephen Covey.

Oh, don’t get me started on personal development courses as well.

So, I go to Udemy and look up their courses on personal development just to see what’s being offered right now.

There are roughly 9000+ personal development courses that cover topics about career development, personal transformation, and others.

Life Leadership Udemy Personal Development Courses

A sample list of Udemy courses for personal and professional development

These courses range anywhere between $30 to $200 for a one-time fee, which is fair because they include videos-on-demand, books, and even certifications for credits.

The courses you enrolled in won’t disappear after you’ve finished them, so you’ll always have them around for review.

What I Like About Life Leadership?

#1 - They Have A Unique Product

What makes Life Leadership great is that they’re probably the only MLM company that focuses on personal and professional development.

It sets them apart from all the health and wellness MLM’s like Kyani or Isagenix because there’s no physical transformation required to prove that the product works.

But don’t get me wrong, it’s still a very crowded niche and it’s quite difficult to sell their products to anyone.

Is Life Leadership a Scam?

Life Leadership is anything but a scam, and it’s a legitimate MLM company that provides personal and professional development programs.

Despite their unique product line, their business opportunity is something that needs to be avoided by people looking to earn a quick buck or two.

First, the earning potential is really low. 99% of their members earned as low as $27.40 for an entire year, and that’s quite troubling. It’s difficult for anyone to earn their money back at this rate.

Second, there’s a lack of transparency when it comes to their training and educational materials. To sell these products, they have to subscribe to these programs themselves to get the best-selling points.

No wonder people are not earning enough money from their opportunity.

Lastly, personal and professional development is a crowded niche. Too many books and courses are on the market for a cheaper price and easier access, so it’s difficult to sell Life Leadership programs to anyone.

I mean, if no one’s buying Dalai Lama’s books, what’s going to convince people from buying books and programs from Life Leadership?

How I Make A Living Online?

I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.

The reason is simple...

  • You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
  • You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
  • It's Free to get started

In fact, with affiliate marketing...

I've personally created a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream and become financially independent at just 21 years old without any College degree or working experience!

Through my own hard work, I went from a broke restaurant waiter to living my dream laptop lifestyle in less than a year's time...
