What is Nikken?

Some Background Info...

Nikken is a Japanese Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company that was founded by Isamu Masuda back in 1975.

In 1988, they moved their headquarter from Japan to California, USA. Today, they've expanded their operation in over 40 countries worldwide.

According to Isamu, founder of Nikken, there's a "5 Pillars of Health", which include:

  • Healthy Body
  • Healthy Finances
  • Healthy Family
  • Healthy Society
  • Healthy Mind

So they describe themselves as a "Research & Development Company" which has invested over 40 years studying how to accomplish their mission of helping people to live a better live by balancing their "5 Pillars of Health".

Nikken Product Line

In order to accomplish that mission, Nikken has produced a wide variety of health & wellness products which aim to promote good health & sleep.

The unique feature that separates their products from other health & wellness companies is that their products are mostly infused with their "magnetic technology":

Basically, according to their research & development, they found out that magnetic technology can help the body to correct unhealthy imbalances which can in turn help us to reach optimum health.

So, the first ever product they created was a "Magsteps Magnetic Insoles", which aims to provide relief for sore feet and lead to better health.

Some of their most popular products include:

  • KenkoTouch ($199) - A deep-tissue and patented magnetic massage machine
  • Kalki Watch ($123.75) - Unique watch with built-in magnets to keep your time and health at the same time
  • Milana Set ($97.50) - Cord necklace & earrings infused with crystals and most importantly their "Kenko Magnetic Technology"

As you can see, their main products all surround magnets and these are just a very tiny part of their product line.

They've been in business for over 40 years and they've expanded their product line to include things from accessories to nutritional supplements to skincare & personal care to sleep aids equipment and many more.

You can view the full list of products on their website here.

So, Do the Products Work & Are They Worth it?

To be honest with you, I've not tried their products myself but here's what I found from my research...

It really depends.

Some may tell you they can feel a huge difference to their overall health & well-being while some could experience nothing at all.

To be honest, this "magnetic thing" is a bit vague so it's very subjective.

We may have totally different feelings despite we're using the same product.

So, the only way for you to find out if the products work is to try it out yourself.

But let me tell you this...

I think majority of the products are over-hyped and over-priced. There's very little real evidence to show that they deliver on their promises because like I've said, it's subjective.

No guarantee at all.

So, I don't think the products are worth it because most of them are definitely overpriced so that they can support and pay their distributors. After all, it's a MLM company.

Take note!

Be careful about any product reviews you read as well as anything that distributors from the company claim.

After all, distributors make money from selling those products so they will often hype up the claims.

So, it's great that you're doing your due diligence here before investing any time and money.

How to Make Money with Nikken?

Just like any other MLM businesses, there are 2 main ways for you to make money with Nikken:

  1. Sell their products and earn retail commissions
  2. Recruit people and build your downline teams to earn overrides and other bonuses

But before that, we need to first understand how to get started and qualify for these commissions...

How to Get Started with Nikken?

One good thing about Nikken is that getting started is pretty simple.

All you need is to purchase is a $99 one-time "Business Success Suite".

Basically, it's just a starter kit which includes a personalized website (where your customers can purchase products from), a complete support system and the eligibility to start earning retail commission.

Unlike many other MLM companies that require you to purchase product packages for hundreds of dollars, you don't have to purchase any product packs to start earning commissions with Nikken.

The only other cost required is the monthly autoship.

You need to have a minimum of 100 PPV (Personal Point Volume) every month for you to stay active and eligible for commission.

They didn't explicitly say how much is 100 PPV equivalent to but from my experience, it's at least $150/month for most MLMs.

Nikken Compensation Plan

nikken compensation plan

I know it's a bit hard to read the details on the Nikken Compensation Plan Summary in the screenshot above. If you want the full version, check out this link here!

Basically, they have 7 different ranks. The type of commissions and their respective percentage level depends on your rank.

To climb up the ranks, you have to keep recruiting people and building bigger and bigger downline teams because your rank depends on the size of your downline team and your team sales performance.

The downside to Nikken's compensation plan is that when you just join Nikken by purchasing the $99 Starter Kit, you're only eligible for a 20% retail profit.

You can't earn any overrides or any other bonus in the beginning.

In order to have more ways to get paid, you need to start recruiting people so that you can advance to the next rank Executive and beyond.

For the details of the entire compensation plan, please refer to the video explanation below:

Nikken Ugly Truths Revealed!

1. Recruit, Recruit, Recruit...

Like I've mentioned, to advance in ranks and make more money with Nikken, the only way to achieve that is to recruit more people into your team.

Yes, this is just like any other typical MLM that relies on the traditional way of recruiting:

  • Creating a list of prospects (mostly your friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors, etc...)
  • Contact as many people as possible despite you're not close to him/her or you haven't talked to each other for a loooong period of time
  • Scheduling meetups
  • Hosting home parties/workshops

Basically, your job is to sell and recruit as many people as you can so that you can slowly grow the size of your downline team.

Take note!

I'm not saying recruiting is a bad thing or recruiting is illegal.

Recruiting is a legitimate and effective way to create long term wealth IF done right!

I have personal friend who is a multi-millionaire and he did it through recruiting and he is still able to not just maintain his friendships but also make lots of new friends along the way.

So, what I'm saying is that it's still possible for you to be rich through recruiting. But unfortunately not many people have the right skills to do that.

And that's why there are so many people failed at MLM, regardless of which company they join.

A lot of people claim that MLMs are scams but in reality they're not. That's only because they failed so they can only see the downsides of MLM.

That's exactly the same for Nikken.

But let me tell you, there are more and more ways for you to build your network marketing business.

One of which is to generate leads through online marketing because you'll eventually run out of prospects to talk to if you only focus on the traditional way of recruiting.

2. Questionable Products

Strictly speaking, there is no scientific evidence suggesting that magnets can have any sort of effects on the brain during sleep.

It's also impossible for people to cure all their illnesses and live a healthy life by just using magnetic products.

In fact, magnets are unlikely to have any effect on your health and well-being in general.

From a scientific point of view, there is no basis that these products work.

That's why I said the effectiveness of Nikken's products are very subjective.

The only way for you to find out is to spend hundreds of dollars to try it out yourself.

And by the way, if you're interested to make money with Nikken, you should only join them if you're truly benefiting from their products and you genuinely want to share with others.

3. Most People FAILED!

This is the most shocking evidence everyone who are interested about Nikken's business opportunity should see...

Below is a screenshot of Nikken's Income Disclosure Statement 2016:

nikken income disclosure

As you can see, I would only consider distributors with the rank of Royal Diamond is making a sustainable living ($102,625.05/year).

But it only represents 0.57% of the entire Nikken's Consultants.

Even at Diamond rank, an average income of 18,322.23/year is only $1,526.85/month.

This could be a good side income for some but it's definitely not a full-time sustainable income for most people, right?

As for all other ranks, the average income is only a few hundred dollars PER YEAR, at most a few thousands per year, which is obviously not profitable for everyone.

And if you add everyone except those at Diamond & Royal Diamond, it adds up to over 99% of the entire Nikken Consultants.

Which mean, less than 1% of people who join Nikken are actually profitable and sustainable!

Isn't that a very shocking truth that everyone should know?

What I Like About Nikken...

1. Long History

It's an undeniable fact that Nikken has been in business for more than 40 years since 1975 in Japan.

Like I've always said, if it's a scam or a pyramid scheme or anything like that, if should've already been shut down long ago by FTC or other organizations.

2. Reasonable Startup Cost

Like I've explained earlier on, the startup cost for Nikken is just a one-time $99 fee with a monthly autoship.

This is considered pretty affordable and reasonable when you compare it to companies like ACN which asks for a $499 startup cost.

Is Nikken a Scam?

No, Nikken is definitely not a scam, nor is it a pyramid scheme.

Although they are competing in the saturated health & wellness market, they have real unique products to offer (magnets for health) which is unheard of in the MLM industry.

However, like I've shown you earlier on, less than 1% of the members are actually making a sustainable living from Nikken.

So, you should really think twice before considering this opportunity...

How I Make a Living Online...

I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.

The reason is simple...

  • You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
  • You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
  • It's Free to get started

In fact, with affiliate marketing...

I've personally created a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream and become financially independent at just 21 years old without any College degree or working experience!

Through my own hard work, I went from a broke restaurant waiter to living my dream laptop lifestyle in less than a year's time...
