Wakaya Perfection Review - A Not-So-Perfect Health MLM Company?

Wakaya Perfection Review – A Not-So-Perfect Health MLM Company?

Welcome to my Wakaya Perfection review!

MLM companies usually make headlines for two reasons: either they did something revolutionary for the industry, or they screwed up big time. Most of the time it’s the latter. This is why legitimate MLM companies often get a bad rep, and the handful of MLM’s that we do recommend end up being thrown in together with these troublemakers.

Today, we’re looking at what could’ve been a decent MLM company, but ended up screwing other MLM companies and several non-MLM companies.

This is Wakaya Perfection.

First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.

That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!

Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with Wakaya Perfection in any form.

So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.

Instead, I'm here to reveal what's wrong with this company...

Wakaya Perfection Review Image Summary

Summary:  Wakaya Perfection is a health and wellness MLM company that markets ginger-based and other plant-based products. But we can't recommend this to anyone looking for a source of income. On top of low income potential, it's been in a lot of trouble with the law and is facing a lot of lawsuits. There are also allegations of dangerous chemicals in their products, but we don't have proof that they do. All we know is that they have some serious rivalry with a very legitimate MLM company.

Rating: 30/100

What is Wakaya Perfection?

Wakaya Perfection is a MLM or multi-level marketing company that markets health and wellness products, specifically herbs from an island called Wakaya.

Wakaya is an island in Fiji bought by David Gilmour and his wife back in 1973. Before Wakaya Perfection was founded, Gilmour was already a successful entrepreneur where he spearheaded the Fiji Tourism and owned a chain of hotels and restaurants in the Island.

One of their main ingredients, the Wakaya Ginger, was already owned by Gilmour in his hotel in Wakaya and was sold at a cheaper price than what it’s being sold for today.

Then, enter Todd Smith from Youngevity. He was known as one of the top distributors for the MLM company for 19 years. He left the company with a bad rep and started Wakaya Perfection with Gilmour in 2016.

Youngevity wasn’t happy with Smith’s departure and came after him with several lawsuits, which we’ll explain later in the article.

Wakaya Perfection Product Line

Most of the plants used by Wakaya Perfection are indigenous to the island of Wakaya, and they’ve used these plants to produce a wide range of supplements intended to improve our quality of life.

Here are some of their bestsellers. Note that you can find non- Wakaya Perfection products on Amazon for way cheaper too.

Organic Ginger Powder – This is organic powder ingested by adding into meals or diluted with water. This is meant to be taken daily and is said to cure different forms of inflammation in the body as well as improving the digestive system.

Ginger-Eze -  A health supplement known to soothe common cold symptoms and reducing chances of nausea.

Organic Fujian Tumeric Powder and Capsules – Boosts the optimum levels of turmeric in our body. Just like the organic ginger powder, this can be taken after meals or in a diluted solution.

Organic Pink Fijian Ginger Tea -  A box of tea that’s meant to help your liver perform optimally and aids in detoxification.

Wayaka Perfection Culinary Essentials – Condiments made from different Wakaya herbs and will come in different varieties.

Does The Product Work?

Just like most MLM companies, they’ll always boast that their products are “the best” in the industry and will make other senseless overly-hyped claims.

However, these claims are not to be taken lightly because these products are monitored and governed by the FDA or Food and Drug Administration. Any therapeutic or medical claim will have to be verified and studied by the FDA.

So, the fact that they haven’t gotten FDA-approval to make these claims mean that the products may not work as intended.

We also discovered one article about Wakaya Perfection’s products containing high amounts of lead and arsenic according to Youngevity.

Again we would like to emphasize that this claim could’ve been made by Youngevity due to their rivalry so we’ll take this report with a grain of salt.  We do know for a fact that Youngevity was hit by a similar complaint about their products containing lead and arsenic.

How To Make Money with Wakaya Perfection?

Wakaya Perfection offers your typical MLM income opportunity by providing you with two ways to make money:

  1. Commissions from sales
  2. Commissions from recruiting people and their sales

How To Get Started with Wakaya Perfection?

You’ll have to pay a base membership fee of $49.95 to get into the program. Then you can sign up for the Paradise Pack worth $499.95 to increase your earnings and to get into the MLM program.

By joining, you can purchase their products at wholesale discount and then sell it for retail price. Whatever you make is your profit or commission.

Wakaya Perfection Compensation Plan

Wakaya Perfection’s compensation plan is your typical MLM comp plan. There’s really nothing unique about their program, and we’ll just discuss some of the important details. There’s a video at the end of this section to help explain more about their program.

Wakaya Perfection Retail Commission

As mentioned earlier, you get into the program by paying for a membership fee. You purchase products at wholesale pricing and sell for retail price.

The difference will then be your commission.

Wakaya Perfection Recruitment Commission

Like most MLM businesses, you get a commission when you recruit people into the program and when they make their sales. You get $100 every time you get people to sign up for the Paradise Pack.  Higher ranks will get you higher earnings from your downlines (your team).

Wakaya Perfection Ugly Truths Revealed!

#1 Sued For Securities Fraud and More!

Wakaya Perfection is in a whole lot of legal trouble, starting from their leadership. Here’s what we know about the lawsuits being filed or that are already in motion:

  1. Youngevity International sued Todd Smith and Wakaya Perfection.
  2. Wakaya Perfection, Todd Smith, and several key persons were sued for securities fraud by Ohio Security Insurance Company.

Here’s the growing list of lawsuits compiled by BehindMLM.

#2 Expensive Products

Contrary to what you might think, the products marketed by Wakaya Perfection are more expensive than commercial counterparts. And I mean they’re priced expensively. Some of their products are priced anywhere between $12 and $200.

And their Amazon counterparts? Well, you be the judge:

#3 Low Income Potential

So according to BusinessForHome, Wakaya Perfection has made some serious earning.

Last year, they paid out $4.20 million at an average of $350,000 to its members. Now, this might sound impressive but it’s actually not.

Let’s say that for a month, $350,000 was paid out to its members. How many members do you think Wakaya Perfection has?

Even at 100 members, that puts that $350,000 at roughly $350 per member.

We don’t know where or how this income is limited. It could be limited per state or per country, but either way, it’s still very low.

What I Like About Wakaya Perfection?

After everything that I’ve read and found out about Wakaya Perfection, there’s just nothing to like about this program.

Legal issues aside, they’re your ordinary MLM company that has decent or subpar products with a somewhat basic compensation plan.

Is Wakaya Perfection a Scam?

Wakaya Perfection is a legitimate MLM company, but it’s not something that we’d recommend for anyone as a source of full-time income.

  1. The income potential is low and that wouldn’t be enough to sustain an entire household.
  2. They’re plagued with legal issues that continue to just pile on, and that’s no way to do business.
  3. Their rivalry with another MLM company is still ongoing, and that’s just bad business.

Either way, there are better MLM companies out there and better ways to make money online.

How I Make a Living Online?

I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.

The reason is simple...

  • You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
  • You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
  • It's Free to get started

In fact, with affiliate marketing...

I've personally created a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream and become financially independent at just 21 years old without any College degree or working experience!

Through my own hard work, I went from a broke restaurant waiter to living my dream laptop lifestyle in less than a year's time...
