Is Traveling Vineyard a Scam? It’s a Fun MLM But…
Welcome to my Traveling Vineyard review!
Okay, so we’re almost always reviewing unique MLM companies and other make-money-online programs and sometimes they’re just as surprising as the next.
In the MLM industry, you’ll have your three biggest niches namely health and wellness, cosmetics, and investments. These are going to be your constants and will always have the same programs in place.
But MLM companies like Traveling Vineyard are part of a growing niche that doesn’t look like it’s a MLM company to begin with.
Let’s take a closer look at this company, shall we?
First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.
That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!
Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with Traveling Vineyard in any form.
So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.
Instead, I'm here to reveal why it's a fun MLM but we're also going to tell you why it's not a good program.
Traveling Vineyard Review Summary
Product Name: Traveling Vineyard
Founder: Richard Libby
Product Type: Wine Products MLM
Price: $15.95 monthly fee + Starter Kits
Best For: People who can sell wine
Summary: Traveling Vineyard is a MLM company that sells wine and other accessories. It's a fun MLM but it's not to give you a full-time income because of its low income potential. The products are great though, so marketing this program might not be that challenging.

What is Traveling Vineyard?
Traveling Vineyard is a MLM or multi-level marketing company under the wine niche. You read that right.
This MLM company markets various wines and even educational resources about wine tasting.
On their website, you won’t find any information about who runs the company. But we dug around and found out that the CEO of the company is Richard Libby. You’ll also find this information on their GlassDoor profile, where they average a 4.8/5 rating from their employees and members.
There’s no official date as to when the company started, but their website was launched in 2003. It could be they started way before they launched their website, or they launched their business together with their website.
Either way, they’ve been around for quite some time now.
Traveling Vineyard Product Line
Traveling Vineyard has 27 different varieties of award-winning wines belonging to 4 different categories: red, white, sweet and fizzy, and semi-sweet. They also sell chillers, decanters, and wine openers.
They also have seasonal themed bundles during major holidays.
Their wines cost anywhere between $14.99 and $29.99 per bottle, which is just about the average price for wine bottles. We’re not talking about Don Moet’s here.

Does The Product Work?
Quite surprisingly, people love their products and on their official Facebook page, 27 people have left their reviews about how good the products are.
This may not be enough to draw a solid conclusion, but if you look closely, you’ll find that the company’s been recommended by almost 200+ people.
On the upside, it is wine and everybody likes wine. I suppose you have to be a professional sommelier to really get into the tastes and textures of wine. But for average Joe’s and Jane’s like you and me, I think their wines are good enough for our palettes.

Traveling Vineyard Compensation Plan
This is where it got tricky. Their compensation plan is “proprietary”, so it’s not made available to the public directly. But here’s what we got from their members’ sales presentations.
As a Wine Guide, you can earn anywhere between 15% and 35% of your sales. The more you sell, the more you make.
Then you have your basic compensation plan listed below:
#1 Personal Marketing Fees
You earn 15% of all products sold at retail prices if you’re the referrer. This also includes monthly online wine orders placed through their “Rewined” subscription.
#2 Personal Bonus
Earn up to 20% for every time you hit sales worth $400 or more.
#3 Management Bonus
If you make $500 sales within 2 months, you qualify to earn up to 5% of your personally enrolled Wine Guides and their referrals for up to 3 levels.
#4 Traveling Vineyard Fast Start Bonuses
When your personally sponsored Wine Guide sells $750 worth of win within the first 60 days of their enrollment, you’ll get a $40 bonus.
#5 Early Promotion Bonuses
You get a $100 bonus when you hit the Three Star Leader during your first four commissions.
If you want the real scoop on their compensation plan, here’s one that I found from their sellers:
Traveling Vineyard Ugly Truths Revealed!
#1 Low Income Potential
Traveling Vineyard doesn’t have a decent enough income potential to really get you a full-time income. And this is a common problem amongst all MLM’s.
We’ve only found a handful of MLM’s that were good enough to provide you with a consistent source of income.
There are also several factors that affect the income potential here, and one of them is about branding. Your audience here are those who’re casual wine drinkers. It’s going to be hard to tap into an audience who really know what they want from wines.
Either way, you won’t be earning a 4-figure income here on Traveling Vineyard.
#2 Secretive Compensation Plan
It’s odd that the company doesn’t make their compensation plan available to the public. I am guessing that the plan is complicated enough and that a lot of people will need help to understand it.
This is probably a marketing or recruiting tactic to keep new people interested in the program without having to exploit it.
What I Like About Traveling Vineyard?
#1 Affordable Products
If you love wine and want to try something new, their prices are about as reasonable as you can get. I mentioned earlier that a lot of people are giving positive reviews for their wine and this isn’t an easy feat either.
#2 Reasonable to Join
It isn’t also difficult to get into the program if you feel that you can sell their products. The monthly obligation is negligible and you can always sell a couple of bottles to recoup what you lost easily.

Is Traveling Vineyard a Scam?
Traveling Vineyard is a legitimate MLM company that’s been around for quite some time. Despite having great products, the compensation plan isn’t that impressive.
The income potential is low, so don’t quit your day job to do this full-time.
But if you just want to sell wine products on your spare time, this could be worth looking into.
How I Make a Living Online?
I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.
The reason is simple...
- You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
- You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
- It's Free to get started
In fact, with affiliate marketing...
