Is Success By Health a Scam? It’s a Coffee MLM Pyramid Scheme!

Success By Health is a health and wellness MLM company that markets coffee, tea, and other nutraceutical products. The company was founded by Jay Noland back in 2017. 

The company is a division of Success by Media, which is a company that Noland also founded. This was a platform for virtual training for online marketing. Success by Media launched in 2015, 2 years earlier than Success By Health.

Back in 2014, Noland was the co-owner of another MLM coffee company called Organo Gold. it appears that he had a falling out with Organo Gold. He was also involved with another company called SynerGy, which he was bought out of. 

Needless to say, Noland is a veteran in the MLM industry. 

Success By Health Product Line

Success By Health offers Ganoderma-infused coffee products. It’s packed with nutritional ingredients to help improve your overall health. 

MyCoCafe is their best-selling product and comes in both coffee and tea variants. Their blends come from a proprietary blend of roasted coffee beans and infused with Ganoderma and other herbs. 

They also have other products such as: 

1. Success By Health Gourmet Latte - A caffeine-free version of MyCoCafe, so you can enjoy coffee without the side effects. 
2. Nutraceuticals - These are various ganoderma-infused products designed to help improve your overall health. If you don’t want to drink their coffee products, then this might be great for you. 

Does The Product Work?

Noland is a veteran in the Ganoderma coffee niche, having started with Gano Excel back in the 1990s.  And this makes this review even more disappointing than it is. 

First off, let’s start with the products. 

There’s just no evidence here that the Success By Health products work as they’re intended to. There’s no FDA testing done to sift through their claims, so we’re guessing people just went through a placebo phase and thought the products were working as claimed. 

But the most disappointing thing here is that Success By Health’s compensation plan is solely focused on membership recruitment more than retail sales. This undoubtedly got the ire of the FTC and that’s the reason why they were in a huge legal fight with them.

There’s two ways to make money from Success By Health: 

1. Retail sales
2. Recruitment commissions

There are also bonuses and incentives tied to sales as a team and recruitment as a team. 

How To Get Started with Success By Health?

The basic membership for Success By Health is $49. But this only gets you to enjoy retail commissions, which we’ll explain below. 

In order to participate in the complete MLM opportunity, you’ll have to purchase a “promotional package”:

These packs open up different tiers of commissions in order to maximize your profit potential. In other words, if you paid more, you earn more. 

Success By Health Compensation Plan

The Success By Health compensation plan is just like any other. And in typical Smart Affiliate Success fashion, we’ll only go over the important parts. 

Retail commissions

You earn a flat 10% commission made from retail sales. This just comes from the difference between retail pricing and wholesale pricing. The latter you get because you are a member of Success By Health. 

Sponsorship Commissions

These are commissions you earn from recruiting members who sign up for either the Accelerator or Super Accelerator pack. You earn $125 and $400, respectively. 

Residual Commissions

These are commissions earned from members associated to you, meaning these are the people you recruited. 

BAM Bonuses

The BAM Bonuses from Success By Health are the biggest reason why they got the ire of the FTC and other agencies. This basically incentivizes you to recruit members on autoship.

#1 FTC Lawsuit Against Them

Success By Health was hit by a lawsuit by the FTC or Federal Trade Commission, citing that the company is a pyramid scheme. They were ordered to halt their operations until their case was cleared. 

20 years ago, Noland was hit with a similar charge by operating a pyramid scheme under the online shopping niche. A court order was imposed in 2002 on Noland, barring him from getting involved in pyramid schemes, along with other restrictions. 

The FTC concluded that their business model was designed so that members lose more money than they invest.

#2 Recruitment Is The Main Objective

Success By Health incentivizes recruitment more than retail sales. With a flat retail commission of 10%, you’re forced to recruit people. They even claimed that the fastest way to earn money is through their affiliate business packs, which cost $500 and $1995. 

#3 Monthly Autoship

The monthly autoship is expensive and you have to subscribe to it if you want to maximize your income potential. Again, you earn a lot of money by making people sign up for it too.

There’s nothing to like about Success By Health. 

Success By Health has been out of operations since they were hit with a lawsuit. There are reports that they were shut down, but we have not found any official announcement. 

In any case, if someone from Success By Health approaches you today with their business opportunity, turn away. There’s nothing to gain from joining their program because they’re a pyramid scheme. 

And if they’re called out by the FTC for being a pyramid scheme, that’s already a serious issue against them.

I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.
