Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with Clickworker in any form.
So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.
Instead, I'm here to reveal what's so special about Clickworker and if it can really make you money...
Clickworker Review Summary
Product Name: Clickworker
Founder: Alexander Linden
Product Type: Get Paid To Do Jobs Site
Price: Free to join
Best For: Anyone who knows his or her way around the Internet
Summary: Clickworker operates on a more sophisticated GPT or Get Paid To business model where they provide not-so menial tasks and pay you for completing them. Despite their unique features, their income potential is really low so it doesn't really provide you with a full-time income. Then there's the issue of job availability, which brings down their income potential even lower. But if you don't mind earning a few cents every day, Clickworker is still worth a try.
What is Clickworker?
Clickworker is a German-based crowdsourcing company that pays you to do short online tasks, or little jobs, for actual companies and entrepreneurs.
Founder Alexander Linden built the program in 2005 and the company is currently located in Essen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
Clickworker works similar to a GPT or Get-Paid-To site in a sense that you are paid to do certain tasks.
But what you’re doing goes beyond completing surveys or just watching videos for a few cents.
These are all legitimate tasks that you can do at any given time, which makes it perfect for those who’re looking to earn extra income online.
And I’ll be discussing what these tasks are and how much each task pays out.
How To Get Started With Clickworker?
It’s free to sign up for Clickworker. There appears to be no geographical restriction as far as I am concerned, but you’d have to check if your country accepts PayPal too.
Upon signing up, you’re going to be asked to complete your profile, which includes general questions like what your skills are, languages spoken, hobbies, and other details.
The questionnaire is designed to match you with the best tasks possible based on your skills and know-how.
You’re also asked to complete an assessment test to qualify for more jobs, but these may not be available at all times.
These assessments are from a site called UHRS, which is another company that provides micro jobs. This means that you can earn more by doing more tasks.
All the jobs you do at UHRS will be credited over to your Clickworker account.
How Much Will You Get Paid?
Each task pays a different amount based on the level of difficulty, knowledge and skill required, and the amount of time necessary for research.
Some reviews say that they earned over $10 per hour, but expect an average of $9 per hour.
I would take this with a grain of salt because not everyone may have access to high-paying tasks or have the ability of completing one.

What Are The Different Jobs?
Here, you’re asked to classify different products into tags or categories.
It looks simple but if you’re not used to many of the terms involved, it may take you a long time to do the task and may even affect your accuracy.
This task requires you to be very accurate since you’re going to be placing the right tags with the right product.
If you commit too many mistakes, they’ll take away future job opportunities involving categorization.
Each successful tag gets you about $0.013.
2. Product Data Digitalization
This task involves you extracting product information from files like PDF’s, Excel files, catalogs, and illustrations.
This just has you copying the information and transferring it to the customer’s online shop platform.
3. Image and Video Tagging
Tagging is when you assign a relevant word or phrase to a piece of information such as text, image, or video.
For example, let’s say you’re asked to go to Google Images and asked to search for a Greek Beach called Porto Katsiki.
The owner of that picture will have to use the tag “Porto Katsiki” in his images so that you could find the image.
If there are other pictures but don’t have tags, this is where you’ll come in.
Each successful tag pays out in cents since the job’s pretty quick and easy.
4. Writing Jobs
This is probably the highest paying job within Clickworker since you’ll be asked to write the following:
- Search Optimized Texts
- Glossary or definitions
- Traveling destinations
- Translation texts
- Company Profiles
Writing assignments will require you to complete writing assessments first before you can qualify for the jobs.
Each writing job pays out at $3.00 for a 250-word article. If you can write 250 words in less than an hour, then you probably make a decent amount of money.
5. Mobile Crowdsourcing
This involves a variety of outdoor tasks using your cellphone.
The tasks will have you looking for pictures or information that can be used for travel/cuisine websites, online stores, and even the yellow pages.
You can get paid for taking pictures of tourist attractions, buildings, and restaurants.
You’ll even get paid for verifying addresses and geographical coordinates.
Clickworker requires PayPal and a bank account if you want to cash out.
The minimum cash threshold is $5, but depends on the payment method used.
Payments made via PayPal requires a $5 minimum cash out, while bank accounts need $10 minimum.
Payment processes take up to 7 days when the job is completed and up to 21 days if the job is from UHRS.
Who's Clickworker For?
Clickworker is intended for anyone who possesses the following skills:
- Internet-savvy or knows his or her way around the Internet
- Familiar with Internet jargon
- Fluent with English, preferably written
As mentioned earlier, Clickworker can be joined by anyone, anywhere. As long as your country accepts PayPal, then you should be able to sign up.

Clickworker Ugly Truths Revealed!
#1 - Not Enough Jobs
With most GPT programs, the biggest disadvantage is the lack of consistency and quantity of jobs available.
And Clickworker apparently suffers from that problem.
Most of the jobs are restricted because of your location, and depends on your assessment from the UHRS.
So, if you don’t qualify for a job, you probably won’t see it listed on your profile.
#2 - Technical Issues
Technical issues plague Clickworker, and this came after their recent upgrade to certain features.
Customers are complaining about being booted out in the middle of the job and being unable to complete it.
With the amount of money involved, you’re going to want to complete every single job you can lay your hands on.
But this doesn’t seem to be the case for Clickworker.
#3 - Low Income Potential
And much like any GPT or Get Paid To site, Clickworker has low income potential because you’re earning in cents most of the time.
And like most of my reviews, allow me to do some math.
Let’s say you average about $0.015 cents for product tagging and photo tagging, which seems to be in abundance in Clickworker.
You’ll probably get a thousand listings for taggings at any given time, but don’t get your hopes up.
Now, supposing you spend 2 minutes to go through the process, so you’re looking at completing 30 tags in a span of 1 hour.
That puts you at $0.45 per hour.
The US Minimum Wage is at $7 per hour on average, so you’ll have to do 467 tags in one hour just to make minimum wage.
Take note that I am simply basing this on average and based on what I found out from research.
What I Like About Clickworker?
#1 – Decent Customer Support
I would like to mention that if you have problems with your account or anything else in Clickworker, their support service is quick and efficient.
Is Clickworker a Scam?
Clickworker is a legitimate money-making program that gives you access to certain tasks online.
But because of its low-income potential, I really can’t recommend this program if you’re looking for something to give you above full-time income.
I would also point out that the income potential is severely affected by the lack of jobs available, so it’s not going to be worth your time and effort at all.
However, if you’re just looking for a few extra bucks online, Clickworker is worth trying out.
