In short, Wealthy Affiliate University is an online portal that has all the training, tools, resources and support you need to start an affiliate marketing business from home.

Who is WA University for?

Wealthy Affiliate University is for anyone who wants to build their own online business from home and quit their jobs in time to come.

The course is mainly for beginners with little or no prior experience. They have very thorough guidance on every aspect of an affiliate marketing business from scratch.

However, more experienced marketers can also make use of their powerful website hosting, website builder, keyword research tool, affiliate program and the community to network with like-minded people.

So basically, anyone who wants to find success online or scale up their online business can make use of Wealthy Affiliate.

However...

Wealthy Affiliate is NOT for people who wants to 'get rich quick' but don't want to put in much time and hard work into their business.

I believe there's no such program as well. ALL legit make money online opportunities requires time and hard work before you can reap the huge rewards. The only difference is the time you take to accomplish your goals.

The Good

Some may feel that Wealthy Affiliate is too good to be true. But it is a really powerful platform from my experience.

The Bad

Wealthy Affiliate University is a very well-developed training platform for affiliate marketing. There's only one major disadvantage in my opinion...

WA teaches its members to drive traffic (visitors) to their sites mainly by organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO), also known as content marketing.

The benefit of using this traffic generation method is that it is free and sustainable. The downside is that it generally takes a longer time to see results.

In my opinion, there are other more efficient ways of making money online such as drop shipping.

If you want to scale your business with WA up to the full-time level, it generally takes 2 years or more depending on your commitment.

(You can start seeing commissions coming in within 3 to 6 months though. No guarantee but many people have done it)

This is considered a very fast method to achieve success compared to the traditional ways. But there are even faster methods out there.

That's the only disadvantage with SEO.

    Hi Chris,
    Unfortunately WA doesn’t focus on these two topics so they’re not included in the main training. It’s mainly focusing on building niche websites and making money through promoting affiliate products.

    But you can find almost any information about online marketing in WA because WA has a huge community. There are blog posts and training created by fellow members to help others in almost every topic.

    Also, if you want to build a website or host your existing website. WA is the place that I would recommend. You’ll have FREE SSL certificates for your websites if you’re a Premium member. This kind of offer is not available in all other hosting companies. Also, their Site Support team will respond to you within minutes whenever you have an issue with your site. Pretty amazing stuff!

You said it can take up to 2 years to scale a full time business, do you know how many websites a person typically has to accomplish this?     Hi Dana,
    You can build a full time passive income online with just ONE website. However, many beginners tend to dabble around and try testing different websites/niches. This causes a lot of people to quit too early because they can’t see any results fast enough.

    So, I would suggest you focus on just one website/niche. You can afford to have one more website to test things around. I hope this answers your question. Wealthy Affiliate is indeed a very helpful and powerful community.

Hi, I actually have many problems with my current hosting provider and I have many spam emails and weird messages every day.
I wonder how is wealthy affiliate’s hosting platform. Is it fast and will it protect my site from spams?

    From my experience so far, I have never received any spam emails while using Wealthy Affiliate’s hosting. There’s actually a SiteProtect if you’re hosting your website at WA. It helps protect your website and email from spam.

Wealthy Affiliate has been an excellent find which I discovered back in 2008. In those days it was much different than it is today. Meaning, the entire platform was mostly content that you read. The strategy was much different, too.

I remember when I first learned affiliate marketing with Wealthy Affiliate, it was all about article marketing. Today article marketing is a lost art that really doesn’t hold that much value.

It’s good to see that Wealthy Affiliate has kept up with the times, though. The hosting for 25 sites is worth the $300 I pay yearly to Wealthy Affiliate. Not to mention the training is top notch. 1 on 1 support from industry leaders is a huge advantage, too.

    I agree with you. What I like most about Wealthy Affiliate is the effort Kyle & Carson are putting in everyday to improve the WA platform. The price they offer for so many useful tools and resources is just out of the world. No other platform or program can offer so much services at such a low price.

    They’ve included other ways of marketing such as social media marketing and PPC in their training. However, what I see is that content marketing and SEO is still the main focus of their training. Nevertheless, I feel Wealthy Affiliate is still the industry leader in the market.

Indeed a quick review of WA. Well encapsulated. Although, I think classifying the limitation of SEO under ‘BAD’ for WA, is kind of misplaced.

    I’ve seen people succeeding much faster utilizing other types of online business. That’s why I would consider the slow speed of SEO is kind of a limitation Wealthy Affiliate is facing. A lot of members cannot see results fast enough before they quit. Nevertheless, this can be due to their poor mindset and attitude as well, such as inconsistency and impatience.
