20 Cogs Review – A GPT Site With A Little Bit of Gambling?!

20 Cogs is a GPT (Get Paid To) platform run by an online market research company in the UK called Submission Technology Ltd. They were known as the founders of UK’s first cashback site called Greasy Palm and owners of OhMyDosh. Needless to say, 20 Cogs is run by people who know the paid survey and GPT industry quite well. 

20 Cogs has been around since 2015, which makes them relatively new. 

It’s free to join 20 Cogs and you can perform the tasks via desktop or your mobile phone. 

As of this writing, 20 Cogs is restricted only to UK residents. We don’t know if they are ever going to open international registration. 

20 Cogs is your typical GPT platform when it comes to registration. They’ll ask for your name, email address, and other information for their company. 

Once in, you’ll be asked if you want to receive emails from 20 Cogs. Answering Yes gets you GBP 5 credited to your account. 

COGS stands for Competitions, Offers, Gaming, Surveys, but you’ll see a lot more than just these four. 

You’ll also find tasks such as free and paid offers, lotteries, product testing, and even mystery shopping. 

During the signup process, you’ll be asked which tasks you want to do. Whatever tasks you select during the signup, these will show up on your dashboard. Whatever you didn’t choose will not show up. 

It doesn’t really hurt to pick out all of the tasks because you’re expanding your ability to earn faster. 

How Do You Make Money?

Cogs just refer to the tasks you have. 20 Cogs means you have to do 20 tasks listed on your dashboard. 

Examples of cogs you can do are signing up for a free trial of something or joining other sites through their links. You get about a few pounds (GBP) when you complete these tasks, somewhere between 2 and 5 GBP per. 

These are impressive offers and it kind of makes you wonder if 20 Cogs has the ability to make money to pay off their members. 

What If A Cog Doesn’t Turn Green?

A completed cog is highlighted as green. If a cog does not turn green after completing it, it means that it has been rejected. 

If you followed the instructions of the cog, you can go to the 20 Cogs dispute section and submit a ticket. 

Then you’ll be asked to submit the following: 

1. For non-gambling offers, a screenshot of welcome emails and other proof that you were there in the site they were referring you to. 
2. For gambling offers, you need to provide three screenshots. One of your account page showing both you and the retailers’ name. The second has to be the time and date of the deposit with the retailer’s name, and the third showing the time and dates of play history.

This is quite tedious but with the amount of money you’re missing out on, it’d be worth disputing these. 

How Does 20 Cogs Make Money?

So 20 Cogs will probably pay out anywhere between 100 and 200 GBP per member when they complete their 20 tasks. But how does 20 Cogs make money to pay you? 

Well, 20 Cogs is a lead generation company and market research company. Their clients are paying them a lot of money to get the information that they need from you. 

What you need to know here is that 20 Cogs is not making ridiculous claims of income here. Their rewards are similar to that of any legitimate GPT site. Sure, they might pay out more than the average GPT but the disparity isn’t that great.  

How Much Money Can You Make?

As mentioned earlier, you’re looking at earning between 100GBP and 200GBP. I’ve read some reviews where people are earning more than 200GBP, but a good handful are reporting above 100GBP but not reaching the 200GBP mark. 

Getting Paid

Completing the 20 cogs is the threshold for payment. There is no minimum amount to withdraw. Once you complete 20 tasks, meaning all cogs are highlighted in green, you can get request to withdraw your earnings. 

Members are paid out three times weekly via BACS or PayPal. There’s no direct bank deposit support as far as we’re concerned.

20 Cogs is meant for people who want to do random tasks on the Internet for a small reward. 

#1 Low Income Potential

20 Cogs may offer you up to 200GBP but it’s not going to be in a day. In fact, you’re looking at probably completing the 20 cogs in a couple of weeks (and that’s optimistic). 

Again, 20 Cogs is your typical GPT site. There’s nothing here that proves they’re blowing income hypes out of their own butts to get people to come here. 

They’re a legitimate business model with a legitimate way to generate money for themselves and for their clients and members. 

#2 Asks For Sensitive Information

Some of the tasks will be asking for sensitive information such as credit card details, especially for those that have you signing up for a trial. 

20 Cogs does not extend its privacy protection outside their site, so once you share your information with their clients, it boils down to how their privacy protection is. 

#3 Available Only to UK Residents

As of this writing, 20 Cogs is only available to UK residents. It’s a shame that there’s no international membership going on here, but we believe that 20 Cogs’ parent company works with various local UK companies so it doesn’t make sense to cater to non-UK demographics for these companies.

20 Cogs is decent enough as it is. We just don’t think that people will be more drawn to this program because it gives them a few hundred pounds here and there. 

20 Cogs is a legitimate income opportunity coming from a GPT platform. It allows you to make a few hundred bucks every few weeks, but not enough to constitute a full-time income. 

The tasks are straightforward and typical of what you’ll find from GPT platforms, but the income potential is low.

For people who want to do random tasks every now and then and live in the UK, this site might be worth checking out. But if you’re looking for full-time income, this isn’t the site for you.
