RAL Academy Review – Make Money with RAL Business Model?

RAL Academy is a training course that’s designed to help you learn and use the residential assisted living business model. The program itself is very unique because this is the first time we’ve ever heard about the model and the program. 

The program creator, Gene Guarino, is one of the top people in this field and will show you he makes money through this business model. 

Before RAL Academy, he was a real estate investor so he knows a thing or two about property values and other real-estate concerned matters. Now he’s just focused on senior-assisted housing business.

The Residential Assisted Living Business Model

Okay before we get to the course, we need to understand how residential assisted living work.s 

At the bare minimum, you need to have a house (one that’s able to house more than a few people), purchase equipment, and hire a staff to take care of the people inside the home. 

And as you might expect, the people you’re helping are senior citizens. They will be housed in your property and will be taken care of with the help of caregivers. This is a way to relieve nursing homes of the surging populace of senior citizens. 

Think of it as running your own nursing home, but with fewer people and fewer staff. 

RAL Academy will show you how to get started with the business model if it’s something you want to look into.

Assisted Living Business Accelerator Overview ($1497)

The main course is called Assisted Living Business Accelerator, which costs $1,497. This is a standalone course that will be enough to provide you with a foundation to setup your RAL business. 

The course has three modules:

Module 1: Master The Basics Of Residential Assisted Living

The first module will talk about the basics of starting a RAL facility. This course will cover training on: 

• Choosing the right location
• Building a safe environment indoors
• Architecture tips
• Things to do to pass inspection
• Zoning and licensing training
• Finding patients

Module 2: Run Daily Operations Like A RAL Seasoned Pro

The second module will talk about running your business once it’s finished setting up. The training of the module includes: 

• How to get high-paying residents
• Hiring the right staff
• Food handling
• Daily operation tips
• Daily activities and recreations for residents

Module 3: Own A Business That Runs With Or Without You

With most courses, the last module will go over long-term goals for the business. This will include training on: 

• How to acquire capital
• How to expand the business
• How to maintain success
• How to scale the business

3 Day Live And Online Event ($2997)

Separate to the training course, you can also avail of the live and online events that are held every month. Note that with Covid-19 restrictions in place, the schedule might be erratic. 

The workshop will include:

• Private tour of an actual RAL home
• Meeting the staff that work the homes
• Access to case studies that show people who succeeded in the business
• Review of architect designs
• Networking with other like-minded people

The online training is very different from the live event. The online training will cover: 

• How to start and operate your RAL business
• What you need to do and to avoid in order to be successful
• How to outsource most of your work
• The 10-step formula to get started as fast as possible
• How to scale the business

For the online event, we don’t know how different the content is compared to the actual training course so we’ll just leave it at that. We assume that it probably goes deeper into some of the shared topics covered by the training course.

RAL Academy is meant for people who have a spare house or property that can accommodate this business. We think that this business is meant for the real estate savvy as well because their training doesn’t really cover the basics of real estate. 

As it stands, we’d like to think of it as a niche-specific course coming from the real estate industry.

#1 Unique Business Model

Anything that has something to do with real estate will always be lucrative. In this case, residential assisted living is very lucrative especially in the western parts of the world.

#2 Gene Is Legit!

Gene is a legit as you can get. At first, people thought he was a scammer, especially Steve Moran. Moran is the author of Senior Living Foresight and wrote an article about Guarino. This article called him a scammer and accused him of making money off of people. 

#1 Capital Intensive

The main problem we have with RAL Academy is that the business model itself is very capital-intensive. We’re talking about using property that you already have, or may not have, and then using it to build a business. 

Even if you do have the property, you still need to make sure that it meets zoning and licensing requirements. But in its entirety, this isn’t a bad business model if you have enough money in the bank, so there’s that too.

RAL Academy is far from being a scam. In fact, it’s a legitimate program built around a unique but lucrative business model. Taught by Gene Guarino, you’ll have everything you need to get started with this business. 

However, we don’t really recommend this to anyone unless they have a property readily available for use. The business model is capital-intensive and needs to follow government laws and regulations for housing and senior care.
