Is Immunotec a Scam? Another Generic Health MLM Company Reviewed!
Welcome to my Immunotec review!
This company has been around for 2 decades and it’s probably as old as the other more established MLM companies out there.
This one promises to improve your health by marketing health products that claim to boost the immune system.
This is Immunotec.
First of all, I must Congratulate you for taking your time to do your own research before buying into any "seemingly good" product.
That's the way to avoid scams and find the legitimate way to make money online!
Let me be completely transparent with you, I'm not associated with Immunotec in any form.
So, rest assured that I'm not here to pitch or sell anything to you.
Instead, I'm here to reveal why this is nothing more than a generic MLM opportunity.
Immunotec Review Summary
Product Name: Immunotec
Founder: Not disclosed
Product Type: Health and wellness MLM

Summary: Immunotec is a health and wellness MLM company that markets immune system boosting products. However for its unique products, it doesn't have an outstanding business opportunity. Their income potential show that there's not much money to be made here, and you'll see what I mean in this article.
What is Immunotec?
Immunotec is a MLM or multi-level marketing company that’s known for their immune boosting products, which is a product of their own research and development team.
In 2017, the company reached their goal for generating an average annual goal of $101.5 million.
Their products are the results of 15 years of medical research, headed by Dr Gustavo Bounous and Dr Patricia Kongshavn. They also paved the way for today’s high-quality bioactive material known as Immunocal.
Who Is Dr. Gustavo Bounous?
Dr Gustavo Bounous is Italian and studied from the Universities of Genoa and The University of Turin. He was a research fellow specializing in surgery with the Indiana Medical Center.
He moved to Canada in 1963 and became a professor of surgery at the Université de Sherbrooke and later McGill University.
For his service, he earned the distinguished medal of the Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Does The Product Work?
I haven’t found any reviews about their products, and I don’t think there’s scientific proof that their products actually work.
Let me explain.
Products that aim to treat, cure, or improve need to have FDA-approval to make such claims. Earning their approval means that they’ve had done testing on these products and that there’s some scientific basis that they work.
Thus, products that earn the FDA approvals can brandish their seal and assure people that the product is intended to work and that it’s clear from potential side effects that may seem harmful.
Sadly, Immunotec doesn’t have these approvals and even if people said that the products work, it’s still very subjective and experiential at best.
How To Make Money with Immunotec?
There are two ways to make money from Immunotec’s business opportunity:
- Personal and Team Direct sales
- Bonuses from recruitment and promotions
How To Get Started with Immunotec?
You’ll need to pay $45 and buy a starter pack to get started as a Consultant for Immunotec. This starter pack contains different products and will cost from $265 to $1,130.
Once you sell through the starter packs, you’ll be able to make your money back and make a profit.
You also get a replicated website to market your products online, but you’ll never be able to rank your website on Google due to the duplicate content.
Immunotec Compensation Plan
We’ll be covering the important aspects of their compensation plan and give you a short summary. There’s a video at the bottom of this section that explains this plan in great detail.
You purchase products at a 30% discount (wholesale cost) and allows you for a 30% profit to work with.
Fast Start Bonus (Immunotec Quick Start Bonus)
You earn a 20% bonus when you sign on a new Consultant to the business opportunity and your sponsor (who signed you up) will earn a 10% bonus also.
Immunotec Residual Commissions
This follows a unilevel compensation structure that places you at the top of your direct recruits (those that you personally recruited). Your direct recruits are on level 1. Their recruits are level 2, and their recruits’ recruits are level 3. And so on.
When your recruits make a sale, you earn a percentage on each level. The higher the level, the higher the percentage.
Business Builder Bonus
This bonus is paid out on product orders made by your direct downline (level 1) during their first month.
Rank Advancement Bonus
You get what’s called a moving up bonus where you have to hold the rank for 2 months straight.

Immunotec Ugly Truths Revealed!
#1 Low Income Potential
The reality here is that a lot of people don’t make any money with MLM business opportunities. And Immunotec’s consultants are no exception.
On their income disclosure statement, people at the lower ranks (comprising of about 90% of their entire membership) earn about $500 per year before expenses. The higher ranks are those that have joined this company when this was first starting up, but these are only few and far in between.
Check out their 2016 Income Disclosure Statement.
Even if you do end up selling through the Starter Kit, you’d have to consistently spend money to make money.
#2 Expensive Products
A lot of people complained that the prices of their products were expensive, even saying that there are similar products out there that are on Amazon for much less.
This is common in MLM companies under the health and wellness niches because they have no full control over manufacturing costs. They just want to develop products regardless of how much it costs them to make, thus leading to higher wholesale costs.
This eventually leads to higher retail costs because the consultants have to earn a profit.
#3 Not FDA Approved
As I mentioned earlier, Immunotec’s products are not FDA approved. The Food and Drug Administration does not approve of any natural or dietary supplements used in the treatment, curing, and prevention of known illnesses and diseases.
I also don’t see anything that indicates that the products manufactured by Immunotec follow the specified safety standard such as CGMP, which is the compliance of FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
What I Like About Immunotec?
Immunotec is basically just another MLM company with nothing really particular or unique to offer. There are far better health and wellness companies out there that provide you with great products and a great income opportunity.
Is Immunotec a Scam?
Immunotec is a legitimate MLM company as far as I’m concerned, and it markets immune system boosting products.
However, there’s no FDA approval for their products so there’s no proof that their products actually work based on standards.
But my real issue is with their business opportunity, and based on their income disclosure statement, no one’s earning any real money and I don’t think people will start earning within the next few years.
How I Make a Living Online?
I'm not a fan of MLM, not because it's illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.
The reason is simple...
- You don't have to recruit anyone to make money
- You have the freedom to promote any products you want and not being restricted to only promote the products from one MLM company
- It's Free to get started
In fact, with affiliate marketing...
I've personally created a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream and become financially independent at just 21 years old without any College degree or working experience!
Through my own hard work, I went from a broke restaurant waiter to living my dream laptop lifestyle in less than a year's time...
