What is Course Creator Pro (CCP)?

Course Creator Pro, or CCP for short, is an online course created by Parker Walbeck & his brother Dakota Walbeck.

They first pre-launched it back in November 2018 to accept a small group of students (that's when I invested and joined the course). And then they officially launch the course at around April 2019.

parker walbeck & dakota walbeck

As its name suggests, CCP is a course that teaches you how to CREATE, MARKET & SELL online courses.

This course is hosted on a platform called Teachable. Parker & Dakota will also teach you to do the same, which is to create and host your course on Teachable.

Who is Parker & Dakota Walbeck and Why are they qualified to teach you?

Parker Walbeck has been a full-time photographer, videographer and filmmaker for many years. He used to work for Devin Super Tramp for a couple of years.

Now, Parker has over 750K subscribers on YouTube, 240K followers on Instagram and 135K likes on Facebook.

So what do all these have to do with Course Creator Pro?

Due to his expertise & experience in filmmaking over the years, he created a course called Full Time Filmmaker, teaching people about various knowledge, skills and techniques for filmmaking.

Since then, this Full Time Filmmaker course has helped Parker bring in literally MILLIONS of dollars.

But that's not the most amazing part...

The CEO of Thinkific, another course hosting platform, revealed that Full Time Filmmaker was once the top 1% of all revenue generating courses before Parker shifted the course to Teachable.

You can watch the full video of that here:

It's really awesome to see how well Parker not just created the course, but also market and sell it again and again.

That's how you generate passive income!

Inside Course Creator Pro

Parker & Dakota broke down the course contents into 5 main sections:

1. The R&D

This is the part where you’ll learn the basics like:

  • How to do market research?
  • How to structure your course?
  • What gears and equipment you need to invest?
  • How to script, film and edit your tutorial?

2. The Infrastructure

This is where you’ll learn how to set up the technical part like your:

  • Domain
  • Website
  • Email list
  • Teachable platform

As mentioned earlier, Teachable will be the platform you’ll be using to process payments from your students and to host your course for your students.

3. The Marketing

This is where you’ll learn about:

  • How to price your course?
  • How to pre-launch your course?
  • How to do both live & automated webinars to sell your course?
  • What to do after you launch your course?

4. The Advertising

This section is all about Facebook Ads and how to run Facebook Ads to get people to come to your webinars and potentially become your student.

For me, I didn’t know anything about Facebook Ads before I joined CCP. And this Facebook Ads section really helped me a lot to start.

However, I wouldn’t say this is the most comprehensive Advertising lesson because it only touches on Facebook Ads. But there are many other advertising methods out there.

And I believe there are much more comprehensive, in-depth and advanced Facebook Ad course out there in the market.

So in my opinion, the Facebook Ad part is definitely not the best but for a complete beginner in advertising, this is a really good start because Parker will walk you through step by step from the very beginning of how to set up your Facebook Business Ad account.

5. The Scaling

The main focus of this section is obviously to teach you how to scale your course business.

But in order to scale, they focus a lot on:

  • How to track your Ad performance?
  • How to do weekly, monthly and annual reporting?

Because you really need to know your numbers in order to scale.

Apart from the reporting, they also talk about getting organic traffic to your course and touch briefly on affiliate marketing, which is to get affiliates to help you promote your course.

Private Facebook Group

On top of the course content, CCP also has a Private Facebook Group for you to ask questions, share results and get feedback:

course creator pro private facebook group

And yes, Parker & Dakota will be there to help you and answer your questions!

Discounts

Last but not least, Parker is influential enough to land quite a number of great deals for his students.

Here are the discounts you can enjoy:

  • 60% OFF Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • WebinarJam/EverWebinar 60-Day Trial for $1
  • Teachable 30-Day FREE Trial
  • 50% OFF his own Fulltime Filmmaker Course

How I Made US$100K in a WEEK?!

To be honest with you, I didn't know anything about how to create a course, how to market it and how to sell it.

I didn't even know how to accept payments, where to put my course, etc.

All I know roughly is that I need to film a bunch of videos and I need to sell it somehow.

I joined Course Creator Pro sometime in November 2018 when they first pre-launched the course.

The course wan't complete yet at that time. They haven't uploaded lessons in the Marketing & Scaling section at that time.

But I didn't need those lessons in order to launch my own course.

From the end of 2018 to March 2019, I spent around 4 months going through all the lessons they've already uploaded in the course.

I followed step-by-step, doing exactly what Parker & Dakota taught us in the course.

In March 2019, my own Affiliate Marketing course was only around 40% complete. But I used the strategies they taught and pre-launched it to get my first group of students.

If you're wondering how I got my first group of students, I didn't spend any money to run Ads. I did a collaboration with a YouTuber to do an interview and collected my Email list at the same time.

I collected around 2000 Emails at that time. While I was still building my initial course content, I sent them some valuable tips regularly to keep them "warm", engaged and excited for my course.

After that, I told them the date and time for my course pre-launch, which I would host a LIVE webinar to teach them the basics and introduce my course.

For your information, it's my first time doing a webinar. I have absolutely no idea what I should do but like I've said, I followed Parker & Dakota's guidance.

I was really scared and nervous of course. I even script out everything I was going to talk about during the LIVE webinar and rehearsed it again and again.

When the time came, I did the webinar like how I practiced.

That night, I made over US$40K...

After that night, I had set up a series of follow-up Emails. And then after the first pre-launch week, I made over US$100K.

It's really really crazy and no words can describe that feeling!!

My Course is my Main Passive Income Now!

After that pre-launch week, I stopped doing any kind of marketing completely because I want to focus on completing the course content and serve my first batch of students.

It's very important to help your first batch of students to help them get some results. This way, you can collect some really good testimonials and reviews.

Testimonials & reviews are extremely crucial when you are actively promoting and selling your course.

Despite not doing any form of marketing for the next few months, there are still some students joined the course along the way. And this add up to around US$5,000 passive income per month without spending any money on Ads.

I completed my course content in July 2019. By that time, I have already collected some really good testimonials.

So I changed my focus and started going through the Marketing & Scaling section of Course Creator Pro.

I started learning and practicing Facebook Ads.

With Facebook Ads, I'm now making anywhere between $60K to $80K per month. So it has now become my main passive income source!

What I Learnt Along The Way...

I've sat down and think through my whole course creation journey and here's what I learnt.

Number one, you need to be patient!

Creating a course is never a way to get rich quick. It requires a lot of time and commitment.

But if you do it right, it can be your "Golden Goose", that keeps on generating life-changing passive income for you.

Number two, you need to take action!

I know people always say that you need to take action. But most people still don't take massive actions, especially when there's fear blocking your way.

Like I've shared earlier, I had absolutely  ZERO experience in doing webinar so I was really really scared to do it.

But I told myself, if I want to make the money, I need to commit myself to do it.

So I took massive actions despite of fear. That's a very important part of my success.

Number three, you need to be willing to learn!

If you want to create your course, there's a lot to learn, be it mindset, technical skills, marketing, etc.

Yes, there are a lot of things to learn & DO as well.

Not having enough time is probably the most common excuse we all give to ourselves. But the truth is that everyone on this planet has the same amount of time which is 24 hours in a day.

So, don't let TIME be your excuse.

Be prepared to learn and practice a bunch of stuff if you decide to pursue this route.

What I Like About Course Creator Pro?

The thing I really like about CCP is its Step-by-Step Training!

Parker & Dakota will really walk you through every step along the way, from the mindset, strategy, down to the technical skills.

Everything is super clear and you really won't get lost.

Just like me, all you need to do is to follow the steps and take action, even if you have ZERO experience.

What I DON'T Like About Course Creator Pro?

To be honest with you, I'm really satisfied with Course Creator Pro and everything Parker & Dakota deliver.

The only thing I think they can do better is like what I've shared earlier about The Advertising section.

I would love to see more tutorials on other kinds of advertising methods like YouTube Ads, Google AdWord, etc.

At the same time, I would also love to see some more advanced Facebook Ad strategies to be added in the course.

Apart from this, I'm happy with the course.

Course Creator Pro Pricing

Course Creator Pro costs US$997.

I bought it during pre-launch which was US$497 but it is no longer available.

Even at US$997, I'm 100% sure that the course itself has a value that's 10X more than its price.

Final Thoughts

I know US$997 for an online course can be a lot for some people.

But just the discounts for other tools alone can save you a lot more money.

And you really need to see this as an INVESTMENT, instead of an expenditure.

If you never invested in this course, there's no chance I can make US$100K in just ONE WEEK! (Although it took months to prepare for that one week)

In my opinion & from my experience, the value of the course is 10X more than its price.

If you're willing to put in the time and effort, you can make a lot more money by investing this US$997.

Hello, I have bookmarked your page because I have always heard that there is financial freedom in selling courses online but I didn’t know where to start. From what I see, Course Creator Pro is a good one and even if it’s expensive, it’s a one time payment. It’s worth it. You make 60K a month! If I can do just half of what you do, it’ll be really awesome. Thanks for the article. I appreciate.

Very impressive Jerry! That explains quite a bit about your rise in financial success from your near-zero beginnings. Thank you for this information. I have heard of Parker Walbeck and really like his videos about film making. Though I have heard about Teachable, from another WA member, I didn’t know about Course Creator Pro and that it is available through it until now. This is really exciting!

Obviously as Parker says, this would be a money making opportunity for the long run as it will take lots of effort, time and money to get it to where it could be scaled up. This is something I can see myself doing in a couple more years once I get more time and my current endeavors end or become more automated. Question… If someone would want to create an e-Book course, I assume CCP would not be a good choice, so what would you recommend?

Hey Robert, I believe CCP is suitable if you want to create an “ebook course”. As long as it’s a “course”, it’s suitable.

Now this is very tempting, especially for me, because I am on the lookout for ways to earn money while my online affiliate marketing business grows. I am very interested but there is a slight problem. I am rather low on funds at the moment, and the start up is a little bit too expensive for me right now. However, I have bookmarked your website and I will come back in the near future when I am more able to afford it because it does look very good, thank you for sharing this post.

I’ve tried creating a course once on a platform sometime last year. It was a very awful experience. I’ve read the review of CCP and I think it’s really nice. I’ll give Course Creator Pro a try and see how it goes. I believe it’s gonna workout well. I think the $997 is a bit on the high end but considering the amount of value it seems to be providing, it seems like a good investment to me. Thanks!

Thank you so much for this honest and sincere review on Course Creator Pro.
I really found it very helpful. The truth of the matter is that there are so many online courses out there trying to teach how to create your own online course but they cannot be compared to the rich content on Course Creator Pro.. I love the unique course content

Wow, you’ve made great progress since the last time we have a chat in WA! I’m happy for you, my friend. You’re now an inspiration to the rest of us climbing the success leader in internet marketing. Your success with Course Creator Pro has inspired me anew to spend more time in my online business. And this reminds me of a friend who dreams of selling his own course online. I will share the link to this blog post to him on Messenger.

By the way, if a person just wants to create an ebook to sell, will he also benefit from subscribing to Course Creator Pro? I remember, my friend just wanted to create an ebook to sell. How will he benefit from subscribing to this training?

Thanks Gomer! If your friend just want to create an eBook and sell, I would say CCP is not suitable as it only focuses on online courses.

Wow, what a story. This looks like a brilliant way to create and market a course. Generating a passive income is what I dream of and creating a course like this seems like a very lucrative way of doing that. At the moment the price tag is just too high for me but this is something to bear in mind for the future, thank you.

Hi Jerry,

Love to read your post and it’s very detailed and helpful, and I found the facebook ads work quite well for you to promote your course which is amazing. I tend to understand the cons of a program before really joining it, and based on your honest feedback there are ZERO dislikes for it which blow my mind and wanna try it soon to put something I know into an online course.

Your story with CCP is very motivating and inspiring to me, and I cannot regret more that I didn’t join this program a bit earlier last year. 🙂

Personal skills are means to be developed, but there are so many people out there who have some skills and are not using it, sonatbthe end of the day some of them are losing that skill. Looking at the importance of this program, I love the fact that you’re given the chance to develop your skill and taught how to monitize it as well. A really good step to helping these people. Thanks for sharing.

This is truly inspiring! From not knowing anything about creating a course at all to now making $60K-$80K is just mind-blowing! I like how the course has step-by-step training and is beginner friendly. Many other courses out there just tells you the concept and you’re left to figure things out on your own. My only question is whether this course is only suitable for people who already have the materials to create a course? Or does CCP also guide you in turning your skills and experience into course material?

Reply
    Jerry Huang - September 25, 2019

Hi Joe, yes Course Creator Pro has the training on how to turn your skills and experience into course material. Like I’ve mentioned in the post, they have lessons on how to choose and use the right equipment, how to film and edit your lessons, etc. All these are definitely included 🙂

Thanks for this review on Course Creator, in which you also tell us your amazing success. To be really honest with you, it all sounds too good to be true. On the other hand, I have no reason not to believe your story. I think that this course is not for everyone of us and you will need a special mindset to be able to master this. The course price certainly is steep, but as you said, the training is very clear and no need to get stuck at all. What exactly is the idea of facebook ads?

Reply
    Jerry Huang - September 25, 2019

Of course it’s not meant for everyone. As long as you have a certain skill or expertise you would like to share, teach others, impact the world and make some money, I would highly recommend it.

Facebook Ad is a kind of paid advertising in which you pay for traffic.

So as long as you have an expertise in any field, there’s a chance to package it into a profitable online course!
