Today's lesson will be different from the past few days.

Understand Domain Name
Domain name is the URL of your website. It's like the address of your house, whereas your hosting is like your actual house.
Free Domain VS Paid Domain
There are 2 types of domain you can get. One is the Free Subdomain. The other is the Paid Domain you own.
In WA, a free subdomain will look something like this:
YourDomainName.siterubix.com
Whilst, a paid domain that you fully own will looks something like this:
YourDomainName.com OR www.YourDomainName.com
The difference is that for the free subdomain, you don't fully own the domain name, while for the paid domain, you fully own it.
Your own paid domain will usually rank higher in Google. However, the free subdomain is a good choice for you to begin with. You can transfer your free subdomain to your own domain when you decide to take your business more seriously and purchase a paid domain of your own.
(Take note: In WA, you have to become a Premium Member in order to have your own paid domain.)
